Much luck to you.... Why have you been doing the liquid diet so early - mine advised 2-3 weeks prior to surgery.

@@TanTan82, I feel where you are coming from. At my heaviest I was 368, and have had 2 c-sections. I've also worried about loose skin, but I spoke with my massage therapist and she gave me a recipe for a homemade scrub that helps tighten and moisturize skin. I've actually been doing it for the past 2 weeks and I am noticing a difference. You take a handful of coffee grounds, brown sugar, and sea salt, 3 teaspoons of honey and 2 tablespoons of coconut oil, apply it all over your body in an upward motion, concentrating on the main problem areas, and it does help. It adds moisture and elasticity to your skin, helping it to snap back. I haven't lost a pound but I am losing inches, and that's exactly what I want, and i started early so I can try to really tighten up well and not have a bad case of the saggies after surgery! Rec'd an email/phone call today from my bariatric surgeon's office -- looking to schedule my sleeve the 2nd week of December, just waiting for receipt of my psych eval, he said.
It's getting to be that time .... I'm a tad nervous and excited at the same time.
Have to really start thinking of getting 'ducks' in order and ordering my shakes, etc.
I have vacation plans for New Years, so hopefully i can still go --- I'll just bring my blender w/ me

I have support of my husband and 23yo son, my 11yo daughter doesn't know anything just yet.
I will explain closer what's going on...
I have 2 friends that are overly supportive... a Nurse Prac that I've met who is wonderful ...
My Mom isn't that thrilled with it, but i'm not doing it for her, it's for me!
I have one friend who's very condesending about things in her own life, so I don't trust telling her...
and as for the 'playground' moms that my are my daughter's friends, i won't confide in them, because
they just talk badly and talk behind each others backs hehe
It's HS all over again....
I know that the surgeon's office as post op support groups which I'm going to plan on attending....

I saw my surgeon for the first time on Wednesday the 6th of November. The surgeon gave me my date that day and then sent me straight to have blood tests done and to book a gastroscopy (to check for hiatus hernia).
The next day I saw the dietitian for pre and post op diet.
Thursday the 13th of November I have the gastroscopy.
Saturday the 22nd I start on the Optifast shake diet and then the countdown to surgery begins!!!!!!!
It's all go that's for sure.

I'm hoping for December 19th surgery date. I'm also in the USA. This week I am looking forward to getting my clearances to make that tentative date. I too selected the December date for the holiday break.

I think I might order some unjury to have on hand in the house. I'm looking for the best tasting LOL I'm sure it's hard, everyone is different, but Unjury seems to be a winner by lots of people.
How does everyone do on the liquid diet - did you find it hard??
I'm very worried about it .... 2 weeks prior and a month after... I get very bored fast.
