    Vitamins

Thanks. I’m off to Walgreens. I used to take the petite also remember a vitamin that was that way too. This is a long time ago so who knows. Things change all the time. You’re right, it’s absorbed in the intestines.

Thumbs up!!! Yes, I need take separate iron, due to being anemic... I assume I need to stop taking it prior to surgery, unless things have changed, I'll find out tomorrow when I have my tele conference with my surgeon. I need small vitamins, are they tiny? These iron chews from Bariatric fusion are horrendous tasting too .... maybe my tastes have changed, unsure. The calcium chews, Vita something, caramel, are okay - but rather have calcium in a pill form. I have to get to Walgreens or CVS and see what they offer. Yes, Calcium I thought helped Iron absorption? maybe I'm thinking of something else. How does vitamins absorb without having s stomach to sit in hehe, dumb question it sounds.. but I'm serious LOL : )

    Hate bypass

I wonder if I can still lose a little bit now getting bypass since my old “tool” won’t have that restriction feeling. Make sense? I know bypass helps lose weight but hmmm.

    Hate bypass

Right which is bypass. Do you think revision bypass is the same. Or is that not a thing? Revision just means another procedure?

    Hate bypass

Nope. I went for lap band and decided on sleeve. Was scared of bypass at the time. This was 2015. I should have done more research I guess. Maybe he didn’t know unsure actually

    Hate bypass

Thanks - I don't want weight loss - well maybe another 40-50 lbs, but I want this GERD to be gone as well as the Hernia... it's horrendous today, I can't wait for this to maybe be over. I know the bypass goes thru the intestines, I wanted to do the bypass at first, but decided on the sleeve.. if I knew that I might be acceptable to this horrendous heartburn I would have done it in the beginning.

Those are what I have - they might grow on me lol they were gross last night
  10. How do you find the bypass compared to the sleeve Without the heartburn issue. I have it and scheduled for 5/27 now for a bypass. Do you feel it better being able to eat etc. where the sleeve had restrictions.

    What’s a RNY Bypass?
  12. I personally wish I had to do a week lol I have to get COVID tested too. be my luck haha I’ll be positive. I had the antibody test done and I’m negative. My daughter was fully positive for the antibodies. She must have had it and been non symptomatic
  13. Thanks!!! I just hope it goes this time! I'm more nervous this time around -- get my hopes up like in March and have the rug pulled out from under me, ya know? to do the liquid right too -- how my body will handle the bypass/revision - unsure if it's considered a full gastric bypass or do they do something different. I need to have my surgical clearance and a COVID test ... Medical clearance this week and next week, probably surgical clearance. Is a revision called a RNY? I better look into it more, I didn't care at the time, due to never knew when it was going to happen.
  14. FINALLY!!! Cross your fingers for me! Had a revision date on 3/18 that was cancelled/postponed on 3/16, then moved to 4/29, which was cancelled/postponed on 3/29, received the phone call today that emergency surgeries, elective, my surgeon was informed he has 2 dates in May he can perform ... So I am scheduled for 5/27, hopefully the Governor won't change things in my state - New York. I have to start my 2 week LIQUID tomorrow, eeeeew and eeeeek! didn't expect this at all.. I'm being revised from Sleeve in 2015 to bypass now. I have been suffering horrendous heartburn and vomitting for a year now - was fine in the beginning, day by day, it's worse and worse - had to double up on my medicine - Protonix - have had so many tests it's ridiculous. I can't take much more - also having an umbilical hernia done too while I'm under ...I don't know what to expect... I hope this works and gets rid of the heartburn ... something has to give!!! I hope they don't cancel on me again... esp after doing another liquid diet. I hope I remember what my liquid diet should be .. Anyone been sleeve to bypass - how did you find it? thanks!!! Hope all is well with everyone!

  16. How is everyone doing - I'm supposed to be a revision .. due to GERD, esophagitis and umbilical hernia, even though the hernia isn't probably related to the sleeve and/or the GERD - they are going to do it anyways, as long as I'm under anesthesia, might as well I was supposed to be 3/18, cancelled on 3/17 - due to the state, New York - I was on a liquid for 2 weeks and omg!!!! that was horrendous - I hope they make a decision soon - things are starting to open up upstate NY right now this week .. Today, things opened for them, I'm downstate, Long Island, and it's still a slow and steady slope down in deaths and positive cases.. So, revisions was 3/18, moved to 4/29, cancelled around 4/1 and nothing so far. reached out to the surgery coordinator today and he seems to think it'll open very soon - he's waiting for the okay - I'm phase 3, which is the 1st to get elective surgeries, as emergencies... Some hospitals here aren't Covid, they are regular. One can hope it'll be any day that I get a date... then back to liquid - ick!
  17. Well after being denied and appealing the surgery and waiting 7 weeks for a surgery date which is 3/18, I believe they are canceling my revision due to the virus. Because it’s elective.  I hope I’m wrong. I am in so much pain from the heartburn. I’ve been on a liquid diet for 2 weeks.  I’m so upset.
  18. Yes. Umbilical hernia here and the esophagitis is at me everyday. I have to double up on my rx of protonix which isn’t good either. I am hoping the governor doesn’t change for another month. Nj just did.
  19. Omy. July or August I would go nuts.
  20. I’m sure I’m right behind you, here on Long Island NY. I’m sure mr cuomo will follow suit. Grrr. I agree about certain things but I’m a revision and in so much pain everyday.
  21. Good for you!!! Rock it! You’ve got it! my revision was 3/18 to 4/29 and nothing. I’m hoping the governor will open up 5/15 but I doubt it. I’m in NY.

    1 week away!!

so lucky - mine has been postponed twice now with no penciled in date yet

    Disappointed...

I'm so sorry - I didnt get a notification for this thread maybe went to spam! Thanks - they are excited, but she just moved the wedding till September... she was trying to avoid it but it had to be done... I feel bad for them.. 2020 isn't going well for anyone it seems. My son just had a horrific car accident the other night in that crazy ran we had .... I'm on LI too - he crashed into the median on LIE then hit a tractor trailer -- someone was with him that night for sure, as he walked away with major bruises, etc, but walked away, with no other issues. All the windows blew out of the car - amazing, what a mess, made Me sick when I saw the car... Anyways, how are you doing? I'm in Nassau, it seems that they aren't making changes just yet - hope Cuomo changes things soon
  24. NY here, Long Island - we are only 2/7 in the phasing. I've been postponed twice, with no date pencilled in yet - I'm so antsy - it's a revision, so I'll deal, but my hernia is so panful and the surgical coordinator said I'm one of the first in line when we do open up. Received a explanation of benefits from my pre surgical testing visit, which was 6 days prior to my surgery and they are denying my claims because I didnt get surgery 21 days later... protocol I guess. I guess I have to call and fight it - I mean, I was scheduled 3/18, cancelled 3/15 for the COVID issues. then was 4/29... I guess they'll have to see or be told what happened .. I hope they pay the bill
