I'm excited! Starting to get nervous!!!

Mine is dec 18th!

Thank you for the advice everyone! I have been drinking premeir protein drinks because they have 30 grams of protein. I need to find a way to eat every two hours at work. I am a hairstylist and we can't have food at our station :/

I have 11 days until surgery. The longer I am on the liquid diet, the harder it becomes. I thought it would get easier. The 12 hour work days on all liquids is a major struggle. I am exhausted and hungry all the time. Does anyone have advice on helping the constant hunger during this phase?

Mine is 4 weeks too!

I am getting ready to start the liquid diet. Does anyone have any advice on how to help out the hunger? I know it's going to be very hard but also very worth it. I need some ideas to keep me from cheating. I have to do it for 4 weeks.

I forgot to mention it is the pre op liquid diet. I am allowed protein drinks, Popsicles, jello and broth.

I'm in! My surgery is December 18. This will help me during the dreaded pre op liquid diet phase!

Because my surgeon is the devil? Lol I think she just wants you to be as small as possible which I appreciate but ughhhhh

Nothing was bad but the sleep study was not my favorite! It's very hard to sleep with wires stuck all over yourself.

I have had my cpap for 2 weeks and I can't get used to it. I wake up feeling like I can't breathe. I want to throw it out the window. Everyone says it will be worth it so I'll just suck it up. ????

This is the part I am not looking forward to. I have to do a 4 week liquid diet prior to surgery.

I told my immediate family. I also told my closest friend and boss. I work in a salon and my surgery isn't untill December so I am sure everyone will know by then. Lol. I don't mind if people know, I just don't find it necessary to shout it from the rooftops.

I live in Ohio but the closest city is Pittsburgh so that is where I am having my surgery. Anyone else close by that have had it done at any of the Pittsburgh hospitals?

I was definitely not saying anything negative about anyone. I think that everyone has their own personal reasons why surgery is necessary for them. I was just stating the fact that I can't wait until I only have 50 pounds left!

The insurance company submitted my paperwork and two weeks later I am approved! I am so excited but finally the nerves set in. I have been halfway through this process before only to quit for one reason or another. I finally had enough and pushed through the months of testing and craziness. I have never even been close to my ideal weight for my height. I can't even imagine it. I am so nervous for surgery. The biggest surgery I've ever had was getting my tonsils removed. I think what's worse is knowing that my family members are very nervous about it. I think for the first time in my life I am doing something that I want without letting anyone talk me out of it. I know it will take forever for December 18th to get here!
