    So tired of liquids!

Ohhh, I'm thinking I'm going to be uttering those exact words when I've had mine done.. Can you have a soft boiled egg or scrambled? I'm a beef eater, and going months without will throw me into massive withdrawls. Good luck!
  2. I can not use aspartame or many of the artificial sweetners. Is the reason not to have sugar just because of the calories?
  3. I've tried them, I can still taste the weird taste, but it's something I might have to try. I work in remote locations away from home so it's going to be tough to make my own anything, but where there's a will there's a way! (there's got to be a way). Where did you get the Jay Robb powder from?

What's piyo? And that's a huge change in shape.
  7. I don't have a NUT. I can drink it, I just hate the taste and it gives me horrible headaches, as well it's probably one of the most unhealthy things you can put in your body. But I will drink it as long as I have to, then will switch back to a healthier sweetner, even sugar is much healthier. I think having to ingest aspartime is going to be the hardest part of this entire process.
  8. I don't really have a NUT, I'm going to Mexico so there's really no pre-op work done.
  9. Wow! (about sums it up)
  10. Wow, now that's not somehting I wish to experience! I guess it's bring on the aspartame, a vicious poison in it's own, but less agrivating to the stomach. Thanks for the info!
  11. I have size 1/2 - 13/14 in my closet. I'm only 5'1. Looking forward to throwing everything higher than a 5/6 away, and working back down to the 1/2 or 3/4 but will keep the 5/6 for my "fat clothes" just in case!

Preop meeting had to go to

Thank you, pretty sure I'll be thinking of many questions. Because I'm having it done in TJ, we are limited in our information. I know the care is exceptional, but many people that have it done in the US or Canada are equipt with a bevy of information, where it seems we're kinda left at the mercy of kind people that offer help..
  13. I'm having my surgery done by Dr. E. Ortiz September 15, 2014 and am excited, scared, get cold feet, then excited, then terrified.. I will document everything play by play for you, what is good, bad, what to bring, what not to bring. I think I was looking at Dr. Lopez as well, but after I had already paid my deposit with Dr. E. Ortiz. I can't see myself ever wearing a two peice bathing suit or a crop top, so I wasn't too concerned about scars, but I did watch a video of the single incission I think on the Doctors and it looked great.

Need support and 7months post op

I'd say 4-5 times a week you should work out (not per day), go walking outside maybe you'll meet people that way, and I'm sure veggies have value, just not the ones that are high in starch like corn and potatoes. Worse thing you can do is give up!

Preop meeting had to go to

No I drive eight hours to site, then remain there for 16 days then drive home, I then get five days off and drive back. I work in the Oil patch constructing a facility for gas for a large pipeline company, so live in a remote place for 16 days while I'm here. We stay in a camp, which is a lot like prison, but since I'm management I actually get a bathroom in my very small room. The closest town is over an hour away, and it's a small, small town!

Preop meeting had to go to

I'm not worried about the losing weight part as much as I am about the recovery part. I can't take more than a week off work, and then I have to drive eight hours to get to work and will be in a remote location with the nearest town being over an hour drive away, that's what I'm worried about.

More in the recovery. 24 pounds is great!
  18. When are you going to TJ, I'll be there next month!
  19. There is a surgeon in TJ that does a single incission threw the belly button, I just can't remember who it is.. Email a few of the clinic's online, they'll let you know if they do the single incission procedure, if I find the email I'll let you know.

Preop meeting had to go to

It's next month, and I'm having cold feet. I too have struggled, I've been sucessful many times, but it never lasts for long, I've gone far beyond my ability to lose it now, and feel defeated. I am worried that at 53 this could be a tough go for me. It seems the younger sleevers do very well after their surgery. I'm Mexico bound on the 14th of September. I too want to get back to a life, not just living and hiding.
  21. Doug, you have done an amazing job with your weight loss, did it get easiers as you went on? I'm getting mine in a month and am starting to panic. I used flintstone with iron right out of the hospital.

Finediva, can I ask how old you are? I'm 53 and am concerned my age might be a downfall.
