  1. At almost two years post-op, I have leaned not to tell most people. This is due to often finding myself in the position of having to educate health professionals and others. When I am heading to the gym after work many of my coworkers are supportive. The only know that I am working on my health. I do not think I will ever tell them about my sleeve. To me it is like telling someone you have diabetes.

  2. I am in Houston. Still fairly new to this HUGE city. Been here just over 1 year. I still need to get use to the heat.

Welcome! This is a different type of heat here in Houston. I will say inside most of the weekend. However, in the morning I am going to the gym. You have lived here longer than me. I love this place and it is now home! Yes, it is huge. There is always something to do!

  3. After nothing happening for months I have started losing weight again. I workout several times a week. My golden number is 150 at 5"6' with a large frame. The hard thing is when I talk about losing 40 more pounds everyone acts like I am crazy. I generally don't talk about my surgery. I am just seen as a "health nut." I live in a new town. Some charts say I will be "over weight." I don’t care.

  4. Guilt is a waste of emotions. I know because I was raised to feel guilty as a Roman Catholic. Lol Changing your behaviors requires, commitment and repeated new behaviors. Give yourself a break. Just don’t give up. Keep moving forward towards better health. Use the healthy map that works for your over all goals. If that means a little sugar every few months then who has the right to judge you. Work at being healthy you are worth it!

  5. The only thing I want to say is please remember this surgery is just a tool. For lifetime changes it will take both psychological and behavioral changes that nobody can do but you. I wish someone had told me how much this process would change my life. I have no regrets. I am still learning. I wish everyone great health.
