1 year and 6 mos out tomorrow!

Yes, thank you for sharing your story! It gives me hope! I am almost 11 months out. I have not reached goal and find myself being nasty to myself! I am down 90 pounds which I know is good! It's just slow! sw269 cw179. Thanks again!

The Proof is in the Pictures

Congratulations on reaching your dream goal! You both look great. Very inspiring to those of us who have not reached goal yet! Support from an encouraging husband is always good! You are rocking that sleeve!
  3. As I was walking in the parking lot of my office building. I noticed my shadow. I love looking at my shadow because it outlines my progress. The other day, I noticed there's been a change in the way I walk. I no longer waddle when I walk. As I run towards my weight-loss goal. It helps to see that I have made changes. I still have to be careful not to run into park cars as I look down. My legs are looking longer and stronger here's to the future. I'm learning how to work this sleeved life! ????????????????
  4. The hardest thing for me about preop was smelling what I consider normal food being cooked in my kitchen! In the beginning it felt like torture it was torture. It never felt normal but it did get better! This sleeve thing is a major commitment! Success is dependent on using your tool correctly. At 10 months sleeved I make sure that I have support and allow myself to live. I still think it was a great decision! I'm not the perfect sleeved person and I never will be! However this was the best road to improve my health. Good luck to you and remember to breath .

    Scheduled June 29

Everybody has a different experience. I was extremely tired and I had a lot of pain for the first few weeks! Each day it got a little better and I a little stronger. I have no regrets and would definitely do it again!

    The easy way out? Bullcrap!

I have been sleeved for over 10 months. It has not been easy! The sleeve is just a tool. I have to work every day to be healthy. it's a personal choice to be sleeved. Easy is doing the same all thing and getting the same results. Doing nothing and remaining fat is easy. I personally have no regrets except for I wish I could've done it years ago. This process does not guarantee weight-loss. You can still be fat if you want to! I choose to work at being healthy! It's your choice make it and live with it.

    Pain

My "dent" hurt for while to the point I called my doctor because I believed that there must be something wrong! But he kinda laughed and said "you just had surgery a few weeks ago what do you expect." Always check and take your pain medications! Get well soon.

    Drinking Diet Soda

I went to a restaurant and ordered a fountain drink and could not drink it just made my sleeve feel weird and full! It's just empty calories anyway! I've been sleeved for 10 months!

    Anyone lift weights?

I understand being limited by anemia. I got out the hospital three weeks ago after almost passing out just walking. My levels are now up and I'm in the gym! Well after working out for the last three days I'm kind of stuck in the bed because I over did! It just felt so good to be able to move and not get dizzy or I need to rest! I am 10 months postop.

    Hi, I'm Cryss!

Welcome! This is a true journey! We have something in common wanting to live for our children! Good luck to you!
  19. I was sleeved 08/01/2014. This was a great step at improving my over all health. Due to other health conditions I'm just getting into the gym. It feels great to be able to move! This is a my year of transformation. Life isn't perfect but the healthier I get the better chance I have to live happily! By December 2015 I will be the healthiest I've been in years. I have lost weight and know the importance of healthy eating. I am working at a heathy me!
  20. Congratulations about everything and great work!

I am a big fat phony failure

I can't wait to move and change jobs! They'll just assume I always exercise and worked on my health. The weight-loss won't be as extreme and I can just blend in.

    My period has gone crazy!

Make sure you all don't become anemic! Have your levels checked by a doctor!
  23. You are doing great! Read everything and make your decision based on your lifestyle. How much weight do you want to lose? Are you ready for a complete lifestyle change? It is all about you! The sleeve was the best option for me. In the last 10 months I've had success by losing weight. I haven't reached my weight loss goal. I expect to be where I need to be by Christmas. It is your body and the sleeve is for life. Make a choice you can live with. Best of luck to you!
  24. I took off 11 days. I work in a office. Two weeks appears to be the best for most people. As you already know recovery times differ. If you have the time take it.
