  1. My suggestion is stay hydrated. I'm three week post op and I can eat puréed food but I've found I can only get down a tiny bit. I try and sip as much as possible and it makes a world of difference.
  2. I agree. First 5 days sucked!!! I second guessed myself so many times!!! Suddenly by 6-7, I started feeling so much better. Went back to work after 10 business days. I'm 3 weeks post op today.
  3. I have some issue. Thought it was the incision but learned it is the actual surgical site. Guess it makes sense.
  4. From a 18 to a 12 in 10 weeks?! Wow!! Good for you!!!
  5. I'm 9 days out and just really regained my energy! I know it sucks but I've found that hydrating was the key. I had a really hard time taking on anything for the first 4-5 days.
  6. I've had decaf and hate it! I'm a daily coffee drinker and it's been hard. I'm in week 2 now and thinking about getting the good stuff!
  7. Look at you go!!! That's a great idea. I've always been more concerned with how my clothes fit than the scale. Looks like you got this!
  8. Had my surfer on Dec 31st and going back to work on Wednesday. Didn't have s nap today and I felt it. Plan to rest the next 2 days.
  9. I'm pretty thirsty too. Had to resist the urge to gulp. I did a good job sipping liquids today but it's a constant struggle!
  10. No, but I have had the dry heaves a few times. It was sooo painful on my incisions. Today I need to focus on hydration since that's been a huge problem for me!
  11. Same here. Pretty rough first days. Really hard to hydrate and the pain around my larger incision is still pretty bad when I have to stand or get out of bed. My goal for today is to sip as much as possible!!
  12. Surgery went fine but I was in a lot of pain. My blood pressure was up so I had to spend 2 nights. Sill can't drink much but I'm feeling better each day. Can't wait to fill "normal" again!!
  13. Thanks everyone. Just checked in. I'll keep you posted!!
  14. Well this is it! Check in at 5:00 am and surgery at 7:00! Bundle of nerves right now but no looking back. Say a little prayer for me!
  15. Surgery in the morning. I'll keep you posted!
  16. Which brand are you currently using?
  17. Thanks! I sure will. How do I find it?
  18. You are indeed a success, but I do believe that being healthy and not thin should be the primary indicator.
  19. I pray for your continued healing. God Bless!
  20. 35 pounds is great! Congrats!
  21. That's odd. I would definitely look into it. I've only heard of the comorbidity requirement with a 40 or less BMI as well.
  22. Not alone. I'm December 31st as well! ????
  23. I'm traveling out of town the day after Xmas for work so I bought protein powder to pack and take with me. Having surgery the morning after I return!
