  1. Doing much better now, thanks. A little R&R helped a lot.
  2. I just ordered some of the Protein Ice drinks (Watermelon flavor). I'll let you know how they taste. Desi
  3. Actually I was talking about a brand of drink called Protein Ice. Anyone tried it? I read that the watermelon flavor is really good. Thinking about ordering some.
  4. Has anyone tried Protein Ice? What did you think?
  5. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
  6. Just wondering if anyone has read any books that they found helpful on the mental part of this process, including habit changes. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! Desi
  7. Thank you. Is there anything that can be done to help it? Tylenol is just not kicking it. I've even wrapped some Spanx around my middle but it still hurts like it did right after surgery.
  8. Has the pain gone for you now? I still hurt a lot.

  10. Sorry about the double post. I can't figure out how to delete it.
  11. I am about 2.5 weeks post vertical sleeve. I was doing fine a couple of days ago and then after some light housework I have sharp pain near my belly button. I thought it was my incision hurting but now I'm thinking the pain is deeper. What could be causing this? The nurse checked my incision and said it was fine yesterday but at that point I thought it was just surface pain. How concerned should I be?

  13. Thank you everyone so much for the encouragement. I am determined to make this behavior end. Desi
  14. Thank you for the thoughts and suggestions. I'm definitely going to try smaller silverware and trying to force myself to eat slower. My main trouble is at night. I am not hungry but for some reason that is when the mental stuff kicks in and I start to feel deprived. I have a long way to go.
  15. I had my vertical sleeve done on December 12th and have an appointment today with the nurse to add mushy foods to my diet. I've seen that many people say they kind of lose interest in eating after surgery but unfortunately can tell that i'm not one of those people. Even at the stage I'm at now I find myself pushing the limit and stopping past my satisfied point at the "this hurts" point. I'm not sure how I'm going to be able to reprogram myself. Is there anyone else in a similar situation to mine? Have you had any success with anything? therapy? How much damage am I doing each time I stop past the satisfaction point? I have an appointment next week with a therapist recommended by my surgeon. I figured that may be a good place to start. Any other ideas on things that might help me? Thanks, in advance and I'm looking forward to being a part of this group. Desi
