Having a hard time!
My suggestion is stay hydrated. I'm three week post op and I can eat puréed food but I've found I can only get down a tiny bit. I try and sip as much as possible and it makes a world of difference.

When does it get better?
I agree. First 5 days sucked!!! I second guessed myself so many times!!! Suddenly by 6-7, I started feeling so much better. Went back to work after 10 business days. I'm 3 weeks post op today.

Sudden Post Surgery Pain
I have some issue. Thought it was the incision but learned it is the actual surgical site. Guess it makes sense.

Hmmmmmm...
From a 18 to a 12 in 10 weeks?! Wow!! Good for you!!!

80 grams of protein?
I'm 9 days out and just really regained my energy! I know it sucks but I've found that hydrating was the key. I had a really hard time taking on anything for the first 4-5 days.

I week post op has anyone tried Coffee yet?
I've had decaf and hate it! I'm a daily coffee drinker and it's been hard. I'm in week 2 now and thinking about getting the good stuff!

Holy love of measurements!
Look at you go!!! That's a great idea. I've always been more concerned with how my clothes fit than the scale. Looks like you got this!

Help. Sleeve was Monday. Feel like crap
I'm pretty thirsty too. Had to resist the urge to gulp. I did a good job sipping liquids today but it's a constant struggle!

Help. Sleeve was Monday. Feel like crap
No, but I have had the dry heaves a few times. It was sooo painful on my incisions. Today I need to focus on hydration since that's been a huge problem for me!

Help. Sleeve was Monday. Feel like crap
Same here. Pretty rough first days. Really hard to hydrate and the pain around my larger incision is still pretty bad when I have to stand or get out of bed. My goal for today is to sip as much as possible!!

Surgery went fine but I was in a lot of pain. My blood pressure was up so I had to spend 2 nights. Sill can't drink much but I'm feeling better each day. Can't wait to fill "normal" again!!

I would not consider YOU a successful WLS patient!
You are indeed a success, but I do believe that being healthy and not thin should be the primary indicator.
-
Unprepared for this complication
I pray for your continued healing. God Bless!

A month out
35 pounds is great! Congrats!

Starting the process
That's odd. I would definitely look into it. I've only heard of the comorbidity requirement with a 40 or less BMI as well.
