Once you eat it, there's no going back......

Feelings bummed out at the moment.
Just got a call from my PCP's office - liver enzymes are elevated; stop taking statin and arthritis medication. More tests to be done. I see him next on 4/7 for my annual physical so we'll talk more about possible causes. I've been doing well and feeling real good lately. Heading to the gym after work as scheduled - new goal - work out the bummed feelings.

At almost 6 months post-surgery, it's still hard sometimes to remember to ALWAYS take very small bites, CHEW CHEW CHEW, and to eat very slowly, even slower than I used to pre-surgery (I've always been a slow eater).

Think Thin Thursday - If you take the time to really savor each bite you’re eating, it will make even smaller quantities of food very satisfying. From: http://www.beckdietsolution.com/daily-diet-solutions/

When you are paid a sincere compliment about how great you are looking, just smile and say "Thank You." Try to avoid saying anything that would discount the giver's compliment.

Friday Weekend Warm-up - If you think, “I just don’t want the burden of thinking about dieting this weekend,” remind yourself: Eating right is a burden, but being overweight is a burden too (physically, psychologically, financially, etc.) EITHER WAY I’M BURDENED, but at least in one way I get to be thinner, healthier, and feel good about myself. Friday Weekend Warm-up: It's easier to stay on track than get back on track. When you have positive momentum built up from the week, don't let the weekend stop it! Stay on track, keep the momentum going, and Monday morning you won't have to put forth the effort to get back in control. From Beck Diet Solution/Daily Diet Tip

"You cannot control that which you do not measure." Thanks, @MissMac, for sharing your Dad's philosphy. It's a great reminder to TRACK MY/YOUR FOOD and EXERCISE.

July 2, 2015 - Think Thin Thursday - Do you have a plan for this upcoming holiday weekend? Remember, it is much easier to make good decisions ahead of time than it is in the moment. Save yourself the burden of having to make spontaneous decisions by planning your weekend in advance. From: http://www.beckdietsolution.com/daily-diet-solutions/
