  1. ditto on the above...just think...when was the last time you lost that amount of weight in that amount of time...if you are like me...the answer is NEVER! :)

Just follow your program and you will continue to do great!

  2. Hey everyone! I'm 17 weeks post op and down 60 lbs. I was just wondering if this weight loss was a little slow considering that I have a friend who has lost about 100lbs in the same time frame. Regardless I am so so so happy with my sleeve and the decision I made to change my life. Please if anyone has tips or tricks let me know! Thank you ????

  3. So as I get closer to my surgery date, more and more questions and "what ifs" are popping into my head. Feeling anxious and excited- What if I get too flabby, what if I can't do it, what if I never love myself even after the surgery. But then again, its one step at a time & as long as im healthy, Im grateful. Taking it as it comes & hoping for the best. PS- exactly how much Protein should be taken in daily after surgery?

  4. Follow up with your dr. Walk. Keep up with the fluids and Protein. Don't try to do too much too fast. Remember this is "our" time. You will never be in the same place again so enjoy each step of the process.

thank you for your advice & kind words! yes , i agree each step should be cherished

  5. Carissa one thing I can say walk right after your surgery. Walk walk so you won't have lots of pain from the gas they put to blow up our tummies.. Good luck during your surgery. I had mine on July 16th and down 15 pounds already.

thank you! i've heard that the gas pain is worse than the incision sites themselves! thank you for the advice, its extremely helpful! and a big congratulations to you on your success so far!

  6. And so after a long 6-7 months of pre testing and doctors visits, I will be getting gastric sleeve on Wednesday, July 30th! I am both super excited & really nervous at the same time. It's a new beginning for me & I can't wait to see what the future holds. So glad I came across these forums so I can share my story and recieve encouraging advice from others. Any words of wisdom?
