  1. It's a great feeling. Enjoy your accomplishment.
  2. My anorexic daughter gained 30 pounds on Prozac while eating 600-800 calories a day. Of course this freaked her out. They switched her to Wellbutrin and she was able to get happy and healthy and find a good weight for her.
  3. I read somewhere that sometimes when you lose belly fat it releases the stored estrogen. Some people have teenage like symptoms such as zits, moodiness and heavy periods.
  4. Losing slowly. Sleeved 2/9 SW 253 DOS 211 current 193 Only 18 pounds lost. About 40 to go. About 800 calories a day. Exercising 45 minutes 5-6 times per week. 12 days after sleeved I had a 17 day stall.
  5. I'm 5 weeks and still really light-headed. In fact I passed out last week and banged my head on the floor. Big bump. The nutrionist suggested lots of chicken broth.
  6. I am having the same experience you are having. I think we need to up our calorie intake.
  7. I had to eat lean proteins and keep carbs less than 40g.
  8. Our program has everyone stay below 800 during the losing phase. I'm not sure I plan to stay that low.
  9. That is so great. And to know you will never see a 2 again is a thing to celebrate.
  10. Post op visit today. Down 9.5. On to purees! I am doing surprisingly great considering that I thought life sucked just a week ago. I am getting in all liquids and proteins. I'm able to do about 45 min cardio per day.
  11. Diane63 -- I believe this is a side effect of ketosis.
  12. I have now made it through week one. Although it hasn't been fun, it's been textbook. First few days, the gas pain was killer. I walked and I walked and then I finally passed gas and the world was a better place (at least my world). I now can take a semi-normal sip of water and I'm able to get in my 60-80 grams of protein. I've been walking two miles a day and then collapsing on the sofa. I've never seen so much TV. I am very fatigued. My goal is to get in a few more grams of protein and calories so that I can lose the exhausted feeling. The pain has been mostly ok except that I sometimes get a searing pain on the left side which will go away if I lie down. Happily I have been losing about a pound a day and I am getting very close to onderland. I just keep chanting, "Don't stall until I get to onderland." How are the rest of the Feb 9thers doing?
  13. I am day 5 and today is my first hope at getting in enough protein and water. At day 3 nothing worked. It hurt to drink and everything tasted awful. You will feel so much better once you pass some gas. I say focus on getting the gas out and drink as much water as you can. It took me 13 hours to drink 24 oz on day 3.
  14. I'm in the same position. It has taken me all day to drink 16 oz water and 3 oz protein. 2 teaspoons and I full up into my throat.
  15. I'm in the same situation. I felt ok until the iv came out. Very nauseous and in pain. They reconnected the iv. I'm still trying to go home.
  16. Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted on your progress. I get sleeved tomorrow.
  17. Tomorrow is my day too. Good luck to us!
  18. You look great. Thanks for sharing.
  19. I ordered Bari Life. It tastes ok in cherry and orange flavors. You simply take 2 scoops per day in your water, smoothie or whatever and it covers all your vitamin and mineral needs. Super easy. It costs about $1 per day.
  20. Feb. 9th for me. Insurance finally approved after 2 denials.
  21. Did BCBS pay for any if your pre-op tests? They declined all of mine which has cost me $6000.
