It slows down a lot as you near your goal. I was down to only about two pounds a month towards the end of my weight loss phase. As long as the scale is still moving, there's no cause for alarm.

  2. surprises......... I really didn't think I looked as much like my mother as my weight loss is showing me - not a bad thing, but still a surprise.

  3. one of the reasons I made this major life change was to live longer for those I love. I found out tonight that grandchild #2 is on the way. I am so thankful.

My husband and I are likely splitting up, so I will eventually be back in the dating pool!

  6. My run tonight went fine. Can't believe how out of shape after just two weeks of no running. But my foot still feels 100% normal. Not even a twinge of pain.

@Margie122 Luckily I didn't gain any weight during these two weeks without exercise! Not for lack of trying. I had actually tried to put on a pound or two, because I'm further below goal than I really want, but it was not to be.

  7. Walking around work today without my boot. Going to see how my foot feels by the end of the day and if it still feels completely normal, I might try running a bit tonight.

@Christinamo7 I promise to stop at the first little twinge of anything. Not even pain, just any kind of sensation at all from that part of my foot.

  8. So tired of wearing this stupid boot! Foot is feeling perfectly fine now, but I promised myself I'd wear the boot for a full week. Worried it's doing more harm than good to other parts of my foot and ankle, but I'm going to tough it out and see how I feel without it next Monday.

@2goldengirl I have it off most of the time when I'm at home, and just try to limit how much I walk around the house. But at work I have to leave it on all day and it sucks. Just three more days, though. I can do it! But then again, I'm the one who broke my elbow and then went back to the doctor 4 days later and made them cut my cast off because I just COULD NOT stand it! I apparently don't do well with orthopedic devices...

  10. Just booked a consult with a plastic surgeon for 8/1. Not planning on surgery until Fall of 2017 but want to get her ideas, etc. on what will and won't work for me. Very excited!

That's SUPER exciting. Plastics are rough (MUCH more rough than sleeve!), but so worth it in the end. The payoff is huge.

  13. Is wondering when the nice weather is going to be here! I'm frickin freezing. Thank goodness I bought a little space heater for under my desk at work. Who knew I'd be using it in May?!?!

@Margie122 I've had a "beer milkshake" post sleeve. Can't imaging a wine slushie would be any worse!

  17. today is the last day I will be 46. during the past year I had a hysterectomy and the sleeve - both completely life changing in extry good ways. I can't wait to see what next year brings. <3

  18. Got my foot checked out today. It hurt way worse after I tried running last night. The are worried it's the start of a stress fracture so I have to wear a boot for 2 weeks and no running.

Just staying off of it for 24 hours so far has made a big difference. I still really think it's just an inflamed tendon or something. Doctor is being overly cautious. I will just keep off of it and hopefully be healed up soon.

Then you should probably be okay. Nuts and crunchy foods were my last food restriction and, like I said, I was cleared for those at 3 months.

@OKCPirate I took a hot jaccuzi bath, but no ice bath. I really wasn't in too bad of shape. My quads were sore for two days from the hills... felt like I had done "leg day" at the gym for the first time in three months. My left foot was the main issue. It hurt to the point where I thought I might actually need to go to the doctor, but I have babied it, iced it, elevated it, wrapped it, and tried to stay off of it as much as possible and it's feeling MUCH better today.
