    Phantom Pain

The ouchies are adhesion pains. Small thin fibrous connective scar tissue is slowly beginning to form, sudden movement like sitting, or standing can stretch or rip this scar tissue. Imagine a cut on your knee forms a scabs and each time you sit or stand the scabs peels off. It's hurts like a $//m555er!! I had pain for 2 1/2 weeks. It started at the end of my 2nd week. I should have taken more time off of work, but, I got threw it. Pain killers helped at night. Good luck! Sx 7/28 down 40lbs starting to be a fitness guru!

    Calicum citrate

Calcium is good for your bones and helps to prevent osteoarthritis. Secondly, vitamin d is a crucial vitamin that many of us are low on. calcium helps to absorb Vit d into the body.

Starting young... How are you feeling now? I learned everyday gets better! I'm down 34 lbs and I'm able to eat mechanically chopped soft foods. I exercise for 45-1 hr daily just walking, I had some adhesion pain for about 2 weeks, but, I feel much better now.
  5. I was sleeved July 28th too! I'm from Nj you? I'm down 34 lbs including 15 preop. I walk about 45 mins-1hr everyday. I'm eating soft mechanically chopped now and 3 protein shakes a day. I'm feeling really great, I'm starting to feel my bones underneath all this layers.
  6. Your at the 3 week stall no worries, it will pass.
  7. I am in the same place as you, kids, college, work, time commitments etc. I have a wonderful job now as a clinical trainer for a Dermatology practice. Im scheduled to begin MSN program at Drexel in the fall. I love what I do and really don't want the responsibility of an FNP. My company doesn't pay for school. However, if you work for a company that will contribute towards your education take 1 class a semester towards your future. Where are you doing your grad?
  8. The first few weeks is only 4oz, you sip n wait, sip n wait, sip n wait. Then increase it to 5 oz, I'm 3 weeks post and I'm almost at 6oz

    Is throwing up bad?

Prevention is the key. When your eating concentrate on that. Sit at the table put relaxing music on, take small bite chew well, put your fork down for 30 seconds, then take the next bite. Stop every bite and decide how you feel. A small amount of pressure in your chest or back means your full. No more throwing up! I'm concerned it can turn into an eating disorder.

    New here!

You will need a good support system after the surgery. Have friends/ family lined up to help. You can't lift anything over 15 lbs.
  12. Pulling at the incision site, I sometimes feel like the tissue underneath is ripping when I lean forward. Is this just a part of the healing process?
  13. I Was sleeved 7/28. Since the surgery I wake up drenched from sweating, I'm freezing and need to change my pajamas. No fever. Does anyone else have this? I'm feeling really good, went food shopping today, trimmed the bushes, cleaning and doing laundry...anything where I don't have to bend and I'm walking several times a day, when should I be considering adding light weights or bands for my arms. The nose spray Vitamin gave me a huge sore on the inside of my nose. I discontinued it and purchased sublingual.
  14. I'm 10 days post op and the night sweats disappeared, I do think it was the anesthesia.

  18. I was sleeved 7/28 After watching several friends evolve into thin healthy people who work out everyday, they still go out to dinner with friends, family they just eat less on their plate. Tonight My family is ordering Chinese for dinner, I'm having miso Soup broth instead, but, I remember clearly that firm salty texture of lomein noodles, I use to sit on the couch with the noodles resting in my chest with my chopsticks expertly in place. I felt I was eating healthy because I ordered chicken and vegetables with that as well. I ate till I was stuffed. Then several hours later I ate again because we all know what happens the Chinese food. Food was heaven but, the weight gain was hell. Hell on my diabetes, Hell my cholesterol, Hell on my ankles, knees, back and heart. Food was making me feel BAD. I'm craving food even as I sit here writing about how bad it has hurt me. It's a habit I need to break and like most things will happen in time. My recommendation is to follow your heart. Tammy
