Phantom Pain
The ouchies are adhesion pains. Small thin fibrous connective scar tissue is slowly beginning to form, sudden movement like sitting, or standing can stretch or rip this scar tissue. Imagine a cut on your knee forms a scabs and each time you sit or stand the scabs peels off. It's hurts like a $//m555er!! I had pain for 2 1/2 weeks. It started at the end of my 2nd week. I should have taken more time off of work, but, I got threw it. Pain killers helped at night. Good luck! Sx 7/28 down 40lbs starting to be a fitness guru!

COMPLETELY OT- Grad School. Need advice PLEASE!
I am in the same place as you, kids, college, work, time commitments etc. I have a wonderful job now as a clinical trainer for a Dermatology practice. Im scheduled to begin MSN program at Drexel in the fall. I love what I do and really don't want the responsibility of an FNP. My company doesn't pay for school. However, if you work for a company that will contribute towards your education take 1 class a semester towards your future. Where are you doing your grad?

It also prevents dumping syndrome

I travel a lot for work, I started eating cheese sticks sooner than I should, but, no issues. Applesauce and farina are my friends while away.

Is throwing up bad?
Prevention is the key. When your eating concentrate on that. Sit at the table put relaxing music on, take small bite chew well, put your fork down for 30 seconds, then take the next bite. Stop every bite and decide how you feel. A small amount of pressure in your chest or back means your full. No more throwing up! I'm concerned it can turn into an eating disorder.

New here!
You will need a good support system after the surgery. Have friends/ family lined up to help. You can't lift anything over 15 lbs.

Looking for July Sleevers!
Pulling at the incision site, I sometimes feel like the tissue underneath is ripping when I lean forward. Is this just a part of the healing process?

Questions? Night sweats, vitamins and exercise
I'm 10 days post op and the night sweats disappeared, I do think it was the anesthesia.
