I found that when I don't log my fat brain kicks in (I'm still fat!!) and I eat far in excess of my calorie goal of 1,000 per day. So for that reason I only lose when I log to keep myself honest.
That being said I'm hoping eating less will become second nature and I won't have to log. Or if I make it to goal I can just log if I start to gain.
Would be interested to hear from those at goal on which strategy they use... Log or no Log??

You look so cute!!!

Had horrible PF before I was banded. In down about 70 and it resolved but now I have pain on the top of my foot and ankle so I have to go see the dr again. I can't take Advil so not sure what I can do about this. Acupuncture? PT? My whole right knee is thrown off because I'm walking funny

Wow congrats!!!!

I'm in the same boat. I am going to go wine free for a while and see what happens. My habit leads to over eating at night so it's wine plus whatever other junk I eat.

I wore shorts. I did for the first time last week IN PUBLIC.

Congrats Alex. You have been very inspiring to me personally and have done something very important for thousands of people out there struggling and succeeding.

I just had some and no problem. Slid right down but I did a good chew before.

5cc for me but I still struggle to eat only when I'm hungry not when it's "time" to eat or I'm bored.

I was talking to a colleague who is naturally thin and she had commented that she noticed I was losing weight which of course I downplayed and thanked her.
Today she said she was walking with another female colleague yesterday and saw me on the street walking to the subway and that the other woman who I barely knew commented that she noticed I lost weight. All of this was very nice and positive but I find it uncomfortable that people would be talking about me. I spent so much of my life just trying to blend in and not be noticed.
This all is positive and I'm in no way offended. Of course someone would notice a loss of 70lbs. But I am surprised and my reaction and I wanted to hear from others if they experienced this.

Great job. Here's to your continued success!

Wow congrats. That truly is a milestone

That worked. It's reappeared

I'm logged in. Strange. Will turn my phone on and off and see if it reappears.

I don't think you can do a ticker on the app. Only the computer

Did the private message option disappear from the mobile Apple app?

I ate some junk food last night and I felt AWFUL this morning. To think I ate like that all the time a few months ago
-
Congrats. That is a huge one.

I don't use straws ( I don't understand why this is a big deal to people!) but I forgot at a restaurant and drank a whole glass of Water through a straw. Ugh! I had the worst gas of my life. Not worth it. Throw out your old water bottles and get some with a regular top or one of those sport tops. You deserve it anyway!

NSV this weekend. I flew first time since surgery in 11/2014 and I was actually comfortable and had 2 inches of belt left over. Last time I flew it was right before surgery and I was miserable and tight. Barely got the seatbelt to close. Actually, the reason I even looked into surgery was a flight where I where I realized how heavy I had gotten and how it was affecting my mobility.

Wow what a big difference!

I used to take Advil 2-3x per week. Now that I lost 60 plus pounds I hardly ever need to take pain relief. I had a bad headache and took some liquid Tylenol which honestly did nothing. Other than that I would not worry about lack of advil. Talk to your dr and see what alternatives you may have for headaches. Your period pains may subside with weight loss.

This happened to me but at a foam pit with my kids. It was singlehandedly the most horrifying experience in my life. I feel for her. If you see her again maybe you could say that you had a similar experience jokingly and see if she bites.
I can say that my WLS decision was prompted by my doctor but I didn't know anyone who had WLS. But I'm the type of person who thinks Angels show up and give me signs so if I met you at the pool maybe you would have inspired me!!
Blood tests post op

Did anyone's surgeon do blood tests for B12 or Iron deficiency at some point after surgery? I'm almost 9 months (down about 70lbs since pre op) and my surgeon hasn't done any testing. Wondering if it's something I should ask for.
