    Hello All,

i am 8 weeks post op and i feel so lost lol. Do you ever feel like you arent losing weight fast enough or you should lose more and you arent doing enough?? I feel like i need to start over haha jk. Any advice on how you felt at 8 weeeks??

Hiya, I'm 7 weeks post op and have only lost 34lb... i understand your frustration and hate that I'm a very slow loser but 45lbs is fantastic! You are doing great, keep it up!!

  2. My first goal for 2019 was to lose 50lbs by 50 years old. I turn 50 on Saturday and this morning i finally met my goal!!! 50lbs lost since 01/4/19 and 25lbs since surgery 7/23/19... woop woop!!!

We just got back from New Orleans and I realized that i didn't need to eat or drink alcohol to truly enjoy myself, its who you surround yourself with! My sister came over from London, my daughter and her partner, my nephew plus 3 of my best friends and we had a blast!! The celebrations will continue for the next 2 weeks while other friends and family arrive from abroad to Celebrate this milestone withme.

    B-Side Question:

Are you comfortable/uncomfortable using public restrooms after surgery?

Definitely more uncomfortable post-op!! Post op, my loo experience is very different to pre op.

Post-OP, my poo is in diarrhea form and extremely gassy and loud. Just embarrassing! I can no longer get away with having a quiet but deadly smelling poo. Now its gassy, loud and deadly!

Before surgery my diabetes pills (metformin) always made my tummy upset and I’d have to run to the restroom several times a day. I would take phone calls for a business and sometimes I’d get the urge in the middle of a call and have to disconnect and bolt to the restroom. At first I would refuse to go to the bathroom on the same floor that I worked on and would go to the first or second floor but it got to the point where I knew I wouldn’t make it so I’d just go on the floor I worked on. I would flush the toilet as I was going to make myself feel less embarrassed about it lol. After surgery I don’t have that issue I’ll get dumping syndrome without the “dumping” but my mother(had rny also) still has to bolt to the restroom. You might have ibs.

I have a bacterial infection called C.diff picked up at the hospital. I'm on antibiotics so hopefully it will fully clear up soon.

Are you feeling any relief now? What did your tests show? How do you feel?

Hiya, my tests show that i have a bacterial infection called C.diff most likely picked up at the hospital urgh.. I'm on strong antibiotics.

I have alot of relief but still not completely gone, I'm going 4-5 instead of 20 odd times a day, so things are definitely looking up 😊

    Thanks for asking!!!

Just thinking of all the times I felt embarrassed & ashamed of my weight. All the times my weight held me back from jumping into life with both feet. All the pics that I saw of myself & I was mortified when I thought those were my best outfits & thought I looked good.
Boating.... when my ex would ask me why I was hiding out below in the cabin.
Taking pics with my beautiful grandchildren & hiding out behind everyone so all you’d see is my face.
Not going to HS reunions because no one would recognize me. I thought I was a little overweight in HS but ha!!! I looked great.
People that I grew up with have a bar that they all get together at . I won’t go. I see all the pics on FB & would love to see some of my childhood best friends.
Can’t go skiing. Can’t play tennis. Can’t ride horses.
I’m going to keep a list & refer to it every time I feel like giving up. I’ll remember all the pain that being overweight has caused me physically, mentally & emotionally. Every time I want to eat something bad I’ll remember the prison I’ve lived in for the last few years!!!

    Well said!!!!😊😊😊

  7. I initially took 3 weeks off from work but because of a bacterial infection I'm off for another week till it clears up. As for chores ar home, after day 3 i was doing light projects that i never get a chance to do while working. Every day since day 3 i work on something and also either get on the treadmill or go for a walk for over an hour daily.

I think it helps you to recover quicker if you stay active.
