  1. I am on day five. One minute I am fine the next I am obsessing over food. I am glad to hear how the hunger went away after your surgery. I am also getting where the shakes make me gag and I would rather not eat at all.
  2. I would have licked their chicken. Lol
  3. Cherie, there is no way I could handle having KFC in my car. You are better than me.
  4. Yes, you do. The smell is what really gets to me. Everything smells absolutely fabulous right now.
  5. I am no where near the end of my two weeks but my husband is cooking. He said it wasn't fair to ask that of me.

  7. Thanks I did and feel much better.
  8. Thanks, it will be easier to handle knowing it shouldn't last the entire two weeks.
  9. I am on day three and have started having horrible muscles cramps. Could this have to do with the excessive amount of peeing I have been doing?
  10. Thanks for the answers. It had never crossed my mind until today. And it really isn't that big of a deal. It also never occurred that the port could be moved.
  11. Good luck and congratulations on your upcoming surgery.
  12. Congratulations and good luck!
  13. This is random but do the ports every show after weight loss? And if so how often does this occur?
  14. I heard you normally have the surgery four weeks after approval. And they do cover all the fills so it is a huge blessing. I am excited but also super excited.
  15. Congratulations!!!
  16. The study is for state of Louisiana employees or their families who have a certain insurance that doesn't normally do weight loss surgery. It was like a lottery were you put your name in and 500 people will get surgery over 5 years. They also offered a strictly liquid diet component I wasn't interested in. You get the call you been selected. You go down and go through a ton of screening. If everything is find, you start the two week liquid diet where you must have lost four pounds or you are kicked out. On the last day of the fast, you go back for more screening. If everything is fine there, your file will go before a board who decides yes or no on surgery. Also what type with 75% of the participants getting the lap band and 25% sleeve/bypass. There are also only four surgeons approved to do the surgeries. I think that is pretty much it. They cover the entire surgery with me paying travel costs. So please ask questions if something I said doesn't make sense. I feel like I am dying right now.
  17. Cherie, thanks for the heads up. Think I am already experiencing it some. I am on Health One shakes and they aren't too bad. My husband just keeps telling me it is worth it. So gonna suck it buttercup even though my head is freaking pounding right now.
  18. Thanks, Colleen. I appreciate the tip which I mostly like do. The sad thing is that I am in a weight loss study and will have to do it again mostly likely. I am having to do this to get approval for the surgery.
  19. Thanks, I needed the encouragement. Just want to lick a cheeseburger right now. So that is an indication of my mental state...lol.
  20. I am on the first day and suffering from a horrible headache. I have gone back and forth between feeling great and thinking I am dying. Is there anything to help? OTC medicine isn't cutting it. I know it is a huge change in diet. This is going to be a HORRIBLE two weeks if I am in pain the entire time. And I apologize from whining but I had to get it out.
