  1. I have not vomited since my sleeve revision either, however, those (2) times that I ate too much I felt VERY nauseous. I have only ate things that are not on my diet (1) time and that was yesterday while me and my wife were out of town shopping. I had a bowl of Lobster bisque for dinner and a half piece of gourmet white chocolate as a snack for lunch. (I didn't eat any lunch because we had dinner reservations at 5pm). I did not beat myself up over eating it because I have been on a liquid/puree diet for over a month now. What seems weird to me is that even if I don't feel full after I eat my 4oz of Protein, as soon as I have Water (30 minutes after eating) its like I feel overly full (nauseous). Very different from the band. I personally do not have any scales at my house so I don't weigh myself very often. However, all my clothes are getting looser so I pray that I am indeed losing weight. I know I should be keeping a food diary but have not started one yet. I may have to after that lobster bisque and chocolate yesterday lol . I DO KNOW that I can not eat the same things as I did with my band or I will definitely start gaining weight. With the band, I could only eat horrible food choices because healthy food simply would not to through my band. Many times even water or any other liquid would not go through the band. When I had my band I always bragged like I was on a Jenny Craig commercial. "I lost 194 pounds eating Reese Cups" lol I hope this all works out for both of us.
  2. I was wondering about feeling of fullness after the soft/puree diet stage. I am 3 weeks (tomorrow) post op and am on the puree/soft foods stage of my diet. I am not sure if it is because of the incredible amount of restriction I used to have from my lap band (I lost almost 200 pounds before complications started) but I feel like I can eat too much right now. My current daily diet is (2) Atkins Protein shakes. 1 pack of "Weight Control" Quaker oatmeal, approx 8oz of soft broiled fish or imitation crab meat and 2-3 tablespoons of Omega 3 Peanut Butter. I will also have 2-3 tablespoons of pimento cheese daily. I have only felt really full (actually overly full) 2 times since my revision surgery. My question is this: Does the feeling of fullness get better once I can start eating solid foods? Any comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  3. I'm sorry to hear about your stall. What are you typically able to eat daily? Are you having carbs yet? Do you snack between meals? I'm worried too since I did so well with my band

    Band to sleeve success question....

I was banded in July 2008. My weight was 370 pounds. I did excellent with my band and was down to 195 pounds by Dec 2011 (Mainly on slider foods and horrible food choices). I was at my goal and decided to go to my surgeon to ask for a slight unfill because I did not want to keep losing weight. (I was looking anorexic) My surgeon became concerned that I may have a slippage so we had it checked out. When I did the barium swallow test, we found that my band was WAY too tight (4.7cc in a 14cc band). Just the slightest whisper of Fluid was going through the band and my esophagus was dilated. He did a complete unfill in my band for 3 months to give my esophagus a rest. I gained weight at an alarming rate (10 pounds in the 1st 7 days) I was back up to 235 pounds by the time we started adding .5cc back to the band every 2 months. I never, ever got my good restriction back. I had a complete unfill again May 2013 and was up to 294 pounds by Sept of 2013. I had my sleeve revision Nov 7th 2013. I will be 3 weeks out tomorrow. I am doing the puree and soft foods step right now. I am not sure if it is because I was so used to not being able to eat anything with my band, but I feel like I can eat far too much at this point. I hope this changes once I get to go back to solid foods. Any comments on how your feeling of being full was better after the puree stage will be much appreciated

    Over filled????

I am 18 months post op. I have lost 140 pounds so far . I have 4ccs in my 14cc band. I have always been able to eat or drink most everything since my banding. (Just very small portions and MUCH chewing) However, since my last fill in November, I have been VERY restricted. Many times I can not eat solid food at all without it coming back up. When I DO eat solid food, I can not get water to go down even 8 hours after I eat . Milk on the other hand will go down at any time before or after I eat. Same thing with cheese. It has come to the point where I am baisically living on milk and cheese alone. Problem is, even though I am only eating like 3 slices of cheese per day, I am drinking 3/4 a gallon of whole milk each day (2400 calories per gallon ). For some reason 1% & skim are like water to my band and will NOT go through. They come right back up. Has anyone else experienced this? I have never gained a single pound between fills since my surgery, but now I am feeling my jeans starting to get tight. (I do not weigh myself between fills, I dont even own a scale) I do NOT want to start gaining when I am within 50 pounds of my goal weight. Have any of you experienced this?? Is it possible that my band is OVER filled?? I am going to see my surgeon next week for my next fill. I would like to be able to eat normal food again. All replies are appreciated. Thanks

    Who's getting banded in June

I will be banded on June 26th. Pre-Op evaluation is Friday June 20th. I started my 10 day liquid diet yesterday. So far so good. I have found that hot broth curbs my appetite pretty well.
