    I am April 22 as well! I was ready to go for surgeon approval back in October- however had a few backwards steps after a mammogram. But- now finally ready to go!

    I am just starting my own process... have nutrition appt on July 29th... have yet to meet with anyone in regards to surgery- but hoping to have an appointment soon! I am as well in the Albany, NY area. I want the sleeve, but am not sure if MVP will work with me on that or not....

    Hi there all. I am new to this whole idea. One week ago- was in the back of my mind. I have my first nutrition appointment at AMC on July 29. I was told by my primary that I am a candidate for the surgery. I have been reading so much on line and feel like my head is spinning. Any help/support would be awesome! My husband is great- he has already said that he will support me in whatever decision I make. Right now- I am feeling if I am approved that I would have the sleeve surgery. Are the support groups at AMC open to people who are not "officially" in the process yet? I would love to attend the E Greenbush ones (I live in Troy)- but work every Saturday.
