    Does anyone ever get a little sting when you eat. It last just a split second and it doesn't happen all the time.
  2. My Doctor told me that if I encounter a stall, I need to wait 2 weeks. If it's longer, change your walking. If you were walking on pavement, walk at the gym or grass or something other. For some reason that usually changes it. I hope you start back on the losing side !

    Also call them !!!! Most restaurants have nutritional information. Call them and ask them for the nutritional info on what you ate. Then divide it by what you ate of it

    This surgery is cracking me up !!! From my pants falling off, to a die hard coffee drinker hating coffee, to now someone who hated spicy stuff and I just said "There's not enough hot sauce on this" ... weird ! just weird !
  5. Best non Vitamin tasting liquid Vitamin. There has to be a liquid vitamin that doesn't taste like I"m drinking a liquid chewable. That vitamin taste is horrible. I have Vitamine Shoppe's liquid vitamin. It's supposed to be orange and vanilla flavor and it so doesn't. I see many type of plant based liquid Vitamins. Has anyone had any that taste non vitaminy (lol at the word). Thanks Everyone !!!! Hugs and Happy Success on our journey !
  6. Thank you !!!! I was talking to some very well educated people at the Vitamin Shoppe about bariatric patients. They said the Alive Gummy Vitamins. Now I know I can't have gummy, but these are not like the normal gummy. They are no Gelatin based dummies. They are pectin based, and are more gel like than gummy like. They are an 8 out of 10 in flavor. I like them a lot ! I hope this helps anyone who is searching !!!

    Kathy, that sounds good ! This is for everyone.. and just my thoughts. I tend to throw out my thoughts a lot. So if you don't like it, just skip the post ! My feelings will NOT be hurt. International recipes Mexican - I have some refried Beans and cheese, and sour cream I want to test. or I"m looking for a new dip. There's a place here that has a very mild creamy jalapeño dip. Maybe i'd add a touch of that instead of the sour cream. That's one of my meals when I'm feeling mexican. Yet, I had that dip on some tilapia and it was awesome. Italian - The Ricotta bake you see on here. 2 table spoons ricotta, some sauce and a touch of cheese. You can mix and match cheese / sauce here. Greek - Tzatziki sauce on whatever floats your boat. I tend to like fish with different flavors Chinese - Tamari or Liquid amino, or coconut amino on pretty much anything to give it that soy sauce taste. There are tons of healthy different sauces. And you don't need a lot so don't feel guilty about using it. Enough just to give you some flavor ! One thing I'm really enjoying is tracking my food. Every bit of food I put in my mouth. Even Vitamins. You learn so much. And if you have something and it's a little to high for your liking you can cut back on the amount, or cut it out a lot. Also, if you find something that you are obsessing about. For me, it's my procuitto/cheese sticks. I went through a package in two days. No way ! Even though it's not super bad for me, it's a red flag. I love it too much and need to use it as a treat. This helps get with working on food addictions. I've been really enjoying going grocery shopping. I am not going to waste my time on foods I don't like or that are bad for me. I wanted some lobster bisque one day, and it was 94% of my daily calories in fat. Oh bullshit, lol. I'm not doing that. I can come up with alternatives. Or I went to the chili. I looked at the nutritional value of all the chili. I went with the turkey chili. I bought one can. That should last me a long time. I haven't tried it yet, but for $1, it's worth it to try it. For me I have fun at the grocery store (except when my pants are falling off haha). I love reading the labels, seeing what is worth it to me. I also splurge on things that I would have never done before. Example is spaghetti sauce. Before, since I would buy big bottles, I would get the standard prego with meat. Now I"m buying Emerils Gaaaaaahlic. Yeah it's more expensive, but it's a small jar and why not enjoy it !!!!! Anyways, some of my rants for today !!

    It's so funny. I can't tell you how many times I've read about people wondering if they were sleeved. I was one of them too. Here's another funny (in case you didn't see it on FB) I'm walking through the grocery store and at least 7 times I'm nervous I'm going to lose my shorts and underwear because they are too big. I kept trying to pull up everything ! Guess it's better than everyone seeing everything Funny ! Things I'm enjoying now... - String cheese. Sometimes cheese wrapped in a thin slice of procuito (sp) - Grilled fish with a slice or two of avocado - Crab. Went out and had crab legs with my husband and best friend. My husband and I had 3 clusters of crab legs. I ate all the small legs and 2 small claws. - love hummus with a string cheese. That's a great go to snack - and I love my scrambled egg with a touch of cheese and ketchup. Why I felt like sharing all that... well that's beyond me LOL. I"m tried. ​Have a great day everyone !!!

    I'm an October Sleever - the 14th. I just wanted to tell you guys congrats on your surgery dates and Super Super Congrats to the pioneers of your group.. those that have had surgery !!! Keep doing that liquid pre op, and do not be scared at surgery, it's such a great decision you guys have made !!! Hugs all around !

    @@sabrowne20 NO, do not put it ON the dermabond. Put it on the rash around it, if there is one. But yours looks soon different than mine. I'd call your DR and find out

    @@sabrowne20 where they glued? I had an allergic reaction to the glue. My Dr has only seen it happen 3 (now 4 times) in his 9 years of doing this. So look at mine and tell me what you think. Mine was healing on this pic. Gives you a comparison. Even if it's an allergy, the only thing to do is put benedryl cream where the rash is, and take benedryl at night. The itching is insane !!!!!!

    Side note Jen... genepro Protein mix (you have to order it online) mixes so well with drinks and completely unflavored. I"ve put it in many different things. One scoop is 30 grams of protein

    Jen. Try some milk with some powdered milk.. that will get doubled Protein and taste good !!! My story for the day. So I was out shopping and I was really thirsty. So I stopped at McDonalds and got a 16oz cup (no lid or straw) The lady said all the drinks are the same price, do I want a larger one.. I said no. So I got me a 16oz orange Hi C. I love that stuff !!! Well I drank half and it was great. I go to log it into my fitness pal.. 160 cal and 44 grams of carbs for the full 16oz.. No way in hell am I drinking the other half. wow.

    Jen..... the unprofessional part wants me to tell you to just go have a Protein shake ! I mean really... against Protein shakes.. WTH. I don't get that !!!! What about some soft flaky fish? cheese sticks are soft. I was cleared for those and puree foods. Shredded cheese? maybe some soft tuna... just chew chew chew !!! Today I had 1.5 ounces of meatloaf. I'm happy with that amount. It's right on the edge of being too much ! damn jen.. I can't get over that.. no protein shakes..

    @@Jen - a work in progress - how else are you supposed to get your Protein? And why doesn't he want you on Protein drinks? I find this odd !!! And what else can you eat? Are you on liquids?   24. Hey Everyone !! So I've been walking a lot! 3 - 4 miles each time. So today I went out to dinner with a friend and she's running the half marathon. After a lot of talking, I decided that I will walk the half marathon !! 13.1 miles ! I can do this !!!! and I will do this !! Has anyone else done this and can you give any tips or advice?

    How many calories were you eating while training. Right now I"m at 700 - 850. I"m still on puree foods since I'll be 3 weeks out on Tuesday.
