At what point do I seek out a consult?
Thanks for all the info! I'll be paying for it out of pocket, so it'll be a while yet anyway. I'm just not patient. LOL! I really want to get rid of these bat wings so I can start wearing short sleeves!!

At what point do I seek out a consult?
I am only about 4.5 months post sleeve and I am one pound from my surgeon's goal and about 25 lbs from what my ultimate goal is. This skin is driving me nuts... At what point does it make sense for me to seek out a consult? I plan on having my arms, thighs, stomach, and boobs done. Right now I've still been losing 8-10 lbs per month. If I got rid of the skin, I'd be happy with where I'm currently at though.

New here- anyone in maple grove, mn?
I'm a little to the north. If you look on the local chapter board, there's a thread for MN people. They do occasional get togethers, though I haven't been able to make it yet.

Before and After Pics
I won't say that I'm at "after" yet, but I'm only one pound from my surgeon's goal. I'm 4.5 months post-op and down 96 lbs since I started this journey last July. Down 53 lbs since surgery in November.

When are the "typical" stalls?
This makes sense. I'm only about 6 lbs from the lowest weight I ever remember being, and the weight that I hung out at for quite a while (when I was 13/14/15 yrs old).
-
When are the "typical" stalls?
I'm definitely not the type to stress when the scale doesn't move, I know to just keep sticking to the rules and it'll happen eventually. It'll be interesting to see at what weight my body decides to settle in at.

When are the "typical" stalls?
I've heard a lot about the 3 week stall, but are there any other timeframes where most people seem to stall? I'm at almost 4 months post-op and things have been slow the last few weeks. I'm only 6 lbs from my surgeon's goal, but I'm still about 30 lbs from my personal goal...

Calories intake 3 months out of Gastric Sleeve Surgery
I get around 650-800/day. I don't get ANY calories from protein supplements though (no shakes, no bars, etc).

Sleeved on 12/12 - need cold medicine
This is interesting. I was specifically told NOT to take Children's Tylenol, due to the sugar content. Each program definitely has it's own rules!

My how the face will change!
Given that I'm trying to fly under the radar in real life, I'm not comfortable posting full face pics on here.

My how the face will change!
You look fantastic!! Sounds like we might be on the same timeline and around the same progress...

Life after.....
I'm three months post-op and I enjoy eating out just fine. I've done business lunches and such, no problem.

Just bought a size 10 goal pants - am I being unrealistic?
The smallest size I ever remember being in middle/high school was a size 14. At 3 months post-op I'm wearing a size 11/12 (was in a really tight 18 when I started this journey). I think you could definitely get there.

Calcium Citrate
I couldn't stand the Flintstones post-op either, but about 6 weeks post-op I couldn't stand my other alternative either, so now I'm back to tolerating the Flintstones.

Sleeved on 12/12 - need cold medicine
I'd check with your doc on the Mucinex pills. I don't know anything about them. When I was sick, I was told sugar free syrup.
-
Calcium Citrate
I get the Bariatric Advantage chews on Amazon. The caramel ones are quite tasty!

Sleeved on 12/12 - need cold medicine
I was cleared for pills at one month. I was also cleared for Sugar Free cough syrup at 5 weeks post-op when I came down with a nasty cold. It seriously didn't go away for a MONTH.

Dining ouy
I typically order soup/chili or a salad and just eat the toppings off of it.

Happy birthday? No, not Happy! Rant
My birthday was 17 days post-op. I took two bites of cake and it tasted like plastic. I haven't had any desire for any since then. Hang in there, it gets better!! I'm three months post-op tomorrow and about 13 lbs from my surgeon's goal. It'll totally be worth it!!

What is Your Goal Weight at 5'5
I'm 5'4". MY goal is 150, my surgeon's goal is 175.

Opinions. Sleeve vs. Bypass
I started at 272 in early July. Currently 192. My goal is 150.
-
Read if you've reached your goal lbs.
I started at 272 lbs. Surgical weights was 229. Current is 192. Surgeon's goal is 175, my goal is 150.

Why did you choose Gastric Sleeve?
I'm 2.5 months post-op. I went into the process definitely wanting the bypass but had the sleeve. I had no comorbidities and am really healthy. My surgeon explained that they've seen young healthy females, with no other health issues, who have bypass start having blood sugar issues (severe ones) a few years post-op. Since that pretty much described me to a 't', they strongly recommended I do sleeve instead. I'm currently 12 lbs from my surgeon's goal and feeling fantastic!
