So far so good-I'm still only on Protein Shakes, Water, and broth. Yesterday I got 45 gms of Protein in and about 50 ounces of water. I am not moving on to any more liquids until I get my protein at 60 and liquids at 64. How is everyone else doing with the protein? I'm 3 days post-op.
Hi Bridget - sound like there are several of us from the 9th. I'm doing good. Wearing a track in my carpet walking
I'm up to 56oz of water & 68 protein with my shakes. It's been a hard 4 days but am making it. Sounds like you are too! Great job!

I had Surgery July 9th.. I came home this morning on July 10th.. I can't keep anything down.. Everytime I take a sip of Water I throw up and dry heave.. It really hurts my belly.. My neck and shoulders are super sore also.. Is the sickness normal?

You should call your doctor. I had my surgery the day before you on the 9th & I am drinking about 56oz of water + 4 Protein Shakes a day already.

Unless your doctor said something else I'd say you're covered.

I'm 4 days post op. I'm drinking (sipping) at least 4 oz of Water an hour. I have Protein Shake drinks from the local grocery called 100 calorie muscle milk & another that is 100 calorie advantEdge. Each has at least 15 grams of Protein & I drink 4 a day. It hurts when things hit my stomach but it's just still super sore & swollen from the surgery. For Vitamins I found some at the local drug store that were gummies for the multi and a chocolate soft chew for calcium/D/K, & a B liquid that's absorbed under the tongue (sublingual). My doc told me not to step on the scale until a week post op. He said the swelling & extra fluids my body would take on due to the trama of the surgery would discourage me. So I got on the scale 2 days after surgery & I had gained a pound. I'm staying off till Wednesday.

That's good to know. My daughter is the hippy in our family. I'll chat with her about it.
