Bipolar here and had no issues getting approved. I had to have my mental health provider write a letter stating that I was stable and had not been hospitalized in the last 6 months and the surgeon was good with that. I was worried about my stability but has not been an issue. I have had 2 days sadness but I think they were more related to the estrogen release than a mental episode. Would do it again in a heartbeat, no regrets

I was able to work from home 2 days after surgery and then return to desk job after one week. Not much else energy buy it was able to handle

10 days totalI think it was submitted on a Friday and then I was approved on the Wednesday I found the 2nd week. I did call the day my doc said it was submitted to make sure they had it and it was in. Also called the nurse line to let them know it was submitted. Not sure if that helped it move along but I wanted to make sure it was on progress

I had uhc platinum and I had to do the 6 month supervised weight loss. Once it was submitted it was about 10 days to be approved.

I so understand that. Anytime you need to talk about it am here. One of my biggest fears going into this was maintaining my stability. I worked too hard to get there to fall apart again. So far that has not been the case

I am bipolar and a month out from surgery, I chose the sleeve partially because I was worried about absorption issues with bypass. So far no issues, no issues with cycling. I did have to argue a. bit with the nurse at the hospital that I had to take my message. Called the doc and he agreed and they gave it to me. I never had an issue with taking the pills either

I had uhc and I had to have 6 apps in different months not any specific days apart. App 5 was on the 29th and the final on the 6th of the next month. Got approved 2 weeks later

I have uhc too and had to complete the 6 month supervised weight loss and lost over 30 pounds in that time. I was told they wanted to see that I could follow the plan and be successful during that period. Honestly I think it helped me a lot to have that time, adjust my lifestyle and really understand what I was doing to my life with this surgery. Also they offered me a nurse line to help with the process, it was free and she helped me with some of the insurance details that got me approved faster
