Update: -Had quick trip to ER for leg pain - muscle relaxers for sciatica -Surgery was amazing. No gas pains, very little pain otherwise. -not done much walking bcs of sciatica (worst it has ever been) -my incisions are healing -as of 7 days post op 16 pounds down (still have fluid from surgery) Looking forward to so much, as are we all! We are going to rock this bcs we are all here for each other! October rules: we're gonna ROAR!

We'll work on it together! I'm avg 20-30 ounces/day of fluid if puréed foods don't count! I'm discouraged on that front.

@The noises get better but haven't noticed them gone yet but I'm only 4 days ahead of you, maybe we'll both be pleased! Glad you are doing well. Baby food meat is terrible. My NUT told me to make my own. Even suggested grabbing ready made rotisserie chicken and using that. I had canned tonight as I couldn't get out to the store. As for the Isopure, I have it but it all tastes GROSS to me, all I taste is the whey protein not the flavors. I am in Dallas Texas but have GNC that we can get them at (vitamin store). @ I'm doing really well thanks! I have been blessed to not really have many problems. The only ongoing issue I have is severe sciatic pain and I'm guessing they is from positioning in surgery and lack of ability to lay on my sides to sleep due to incisional discomfort. Sigh! All else is right in my world. Started purées Tuesday and all is well but need to purée some meat (which sounds terrible lol) but need the protein. Struggling to get my water intake up but I am honestly a happy camper so far!! Thanks for asking. How are you??

@@skinnyme123 I got ultram (tramadol), nothing hardcore but it works! Hope you get good info and get what you need to feel better!

@ tacycakesGlad nothing in fixable occurred, although being really constipated can make you feel terrible. Miralax is a wonderful product but it takes a while to work at standard doses, but it's gentle so I'd keep if on tap for after this first bout ends. Any luck so far this am? I really hope you feel better soon!!!

Lol I was worried too because of fissure and internal hemorrhoid being currently treated but it's actually a clear, Water soluble radiopaque dye. Tasty...huh?

@@tacycakes Without medical training, X-ray vision and a touch of psychic ability there is no way to "know" what is going on without involving the Dr. It may be even acid build-up in your pouch, simple fix, but if you are in enough pain that you feel out of your own control at least call them and don't feel guilty!! You had major surgery and rerouting so that normal feelings can be magnified and abnormal feelings, well what the heck are those?!? You are doing great and part of keeping that up is to continue taking care of yourself. As for constipation, we had surgery the same day and I just went yesterday, although I'm prone to it so I've been taking Miralax. If it's a simple fix they may not require you to come in but give you something to take OTC or by prescription to help your current state! Keep us informed. (Sorry so long)

Call your DR. Are you able to keep liquids down? Is the pain worse before or after you eat/drink? Have you been taking your Protonix, Prilosec or other PPI? Those are questions you may want to evaluate for when you call your Dr. Good luck and praying for a quick resolution. If you are in enough constant pain call them and have them check you over. If it is as simple as gas pain or constipation they can be fixed and you will get Peace of Mind which at this stage in the game is priceless! Praying for you and let us know what you find out.

let me know how it is! I just had my first "meal" pourable key lime Greek yogurt. Right after I had to sit down bcs I got so flushed! Took a zofran too just in case. Can't wait for normal puréed food.

I had surgery the same day and gained a lot more fluid weight so no net loss yet! Feeling your frustration!

There will be NO failure! I've got that same thought in the back if my mind, hard to get rid of as I'm a band to bypass convert. However, MAJOR difference: we all have so much love, support, prayer and good listening skills for each other! That alone will make a difference and we will all lose and maintain together! (I used way too many exclamation points)
