I have been researching procedures and was set on the sleeve procedure until I read so many complaints about GERD getting worse. I know that RNY wouldn't be great with the inability to take certain medication for my RA. My reflux isn't an everyday occurrence, more like 2-3 times per month. Did any of you deal with GERD before? How is it now?

I am going in for my initial surgeon and nutritionist consultant on December 22nd. I'm assuming after these appointments that I am going to be put on a more restrictive diet that I will continue on until a post-op diet. Could anyone share with me what to expect? I'd like to start meal planning ahead of time. Thanks!
