1. I know what you mean. Since I do not have 100+ lbs to lose people act like I am being lazy in having surgery. They don't live with the struggles I have trying to lose to only gain it back and more.... they don't live with the aches and pains and doubling my blood pressure meds and on and on I could go. Just because I do not complain all the time of my weight doesn't mean I am not suffering from the effects of it. Trust me, I would much rather go on a diet and lose the weight and live happily ever after. But I can't do it without this help.

I too was not going to tell anyone till afterwards, but when you work in an office with people and are with them more than your family, they just find out. Most have been very supportive. I have made it clear when talking about it that I don't really care if others are against me having it done. They don't have to live with the decision I am making.... I do! I say it nicely... but matter of fact. My hubby, parents, and grown kids are VERY supportive of me... that's all that matters to me. My hubby is doing the liquid diet with me starting Monday even. He wants to drop a few pounds and show his support of me and what I am doing. We cleaned out all the food of the house today since we start Monday. I feel so sorry for those on here who's spouses are not supportive at all. :(

  2. I am so excited. Just had my pre-op appt today. All is done with appointments and tests. Now it is the liquid diet starting Monday and then my sleeve on the 13th. I am so excited!! I attended my first support group meeting this afternoon as well.

I will be having my surgery at the KC Bariatric Center in Lenexa KS with Dr Hamilton.

  3. I just got my surgery date today! I will be having my gastric sleeve surgery done at KC Bariatric Center in Lenexa KS by Dr Hamilton. I would love to have a surgery buddy to share my daily joys and struggles with along the journey. If you have surgery on that day too.... let me know!

I have went thru so many different emotions the past few months. Now I am just stoked and ready to get this done! I can not wait!!

  4.
I get everything from Amazon Prime because it's magical. I'm taking Centrum chewable multivitamin, NatureMade B-12 sublingual, a liquid Vitamin D drop from Seeking Health and then went with the Bariatric Advantage calcium citrate chewabes (in caramel, not bad).

Thanks so much. I wanted to get the bariatric advantage Vitamins and Calcium citrate. I didn't want to pay big shipping or up charges. I was thrilled to get them on amazon!

  5. Who cares what they think! You look great! Just ignore them and know you did the right thing. I can't wait to get mine done. I am being kind of selective in who I tell at this point because I don't want negative comments before I do the surgery. They can say what they want afterwards. I do not care :)

  6. I have bought a bunch of different samples from different healthy stores to try. I have decided to take a sharpie and write YES or NO on them and keep the packages so I will know what ones to buy again and what ones NOT to buy again. Plus from what I am reading, your tastes sometimes change after surgery. So, I am trying to not buy too much before my surgery. I have heard people either love or hate the Isopure in bottles. Someone suggested freezing it like slushies to drink it too.

    Good luck!

  7. I am excited for you! I just did my last appointment at KC Bariactric yesterday. They are going to submit my stuff to UHC and as soon as they approve it I will get my three appointments too! I am so stinking excited I have a hard time going to sleep and a hard time concentrating at work during the day!! Who knows maybe we will be about the same time getting our surgeries.
