1. 36 and sleeved in June 2014. In addition to being high risk because of my age I also have a uterine complication. I am currently 15 weeks along and have lost 20 pounds since becoming pregnant. Extreme morning sickness is to blame. I'm worried about my health and my babies. I'm hoping this forum can help me get through this.....as I see I'm not alone in being pregnant! :)

  2. I've had similar experiences. When I asked my NUT she said higher fat foods will cause this because our new pouch can not handle all that heavy fat. It's a learning experience I guess as far as what we can tolerate. I guess it a version of dumping for sleeve patients....I definitely swear and run to bathroom after a wrong choice.

Lol Dena. I got so mad at myself.....the worst part was as I was eating it my boyfriend said ' Honey.....that's gonna make you sick!' and I ate it anyways!

  3. I've seem multiple posts about this and there seems to be very clear that people have different opinions and experiences with it. So, here is mine.....

My surgeon told me that I would experience dumping, and I have.

I follow my surgeons guidelines to a 'T' with the exception of two weak moments since surgery. Once with a mini blizzard from Dairy Queen and once with a small square of a brownie that I made. Both events were well after a meal. I ate the offensive item. Not 5 minutes later I started sweating, I got really hot and my face turned completely white. I felt like I was going to throw up. 10 minutes after eating the diarrhea kicked in. I was miserable for about 30 minutes. On top of all of the , during this 30 minutes, I also experienced extreme urination. Going constantly even after I emptied my bladder.

This to me is dumping. What else could it be?

    Am I alone in this?

I'm 5 weeks post op. For those seasoned sleevers.....Will I always have this or does it go away with time?

  4. You are NOT alone! I'm 9 Days post op and my large incision site where they pulled out my stomach is very very painful! Sitting, bending, even going to the bathroom hurts so badly. It's not just the incision, it's the area all around the incision too. It feels like something is "ripping" inside me when I move around.

I had this same pain when I had my lapband placed 3 years ago and it took 3 months for the pain to go away, so I'm hoping and praying it won't be the same this time around!

  5.
8 Days post op. Had the same thing. Walking helps.....as much as your belly is sore from the incisions....walking really does help. I felt much better when I did and it helped get rid of the gas.....passing gas and burping! :) Small sips of warm or hot liquids helped me....I drank a LOT of hot tea the first 5 days. It also makes your new belly feel good!

how do you feel now? Are you feeling better with the gas and all do that?

  8. Hello.
New to this forum, but hoping to become a regular to help with my success.

I'm a lap band to VSG conversion. I had surgery on June 26th. After 3 years of nothing but miserable challenges with my lap band, my surgeon performed my Lap Band removal and VSG procedure at the same time.

I'm now almost a week post op and just trying to get to my new normal.

I know every surgeon has their own "rules" but wondering if anyone is struggling with dairy. Every time I try and eat my Greek Yogurt or anything "dairy" I get very nauseous and my stomach is very angry.

What are you all eating 6 days post op?
