    First of all Congrats Penny!! We are all so happy for you!! Lisa- My gym is really affordable they have ellipticals, but its about 25.00-30.00 a month. They do a contract though...It's worth every dollar. I have had my membership almost 6 years now... I only pay 15 a month now..I am not sure at what your looking for but sometimes, some gyms will let you buy a membership for a year for pretty cheap, you just have to talk to them...If they want a sell they will sell! Penny~ I guess I lost about 20lbs, from the preop diet and the first month I lost a good 35 lbs all together..The preop diet is hard but it gets you ready for the long haul.... I hope you are all doing well, look forward to hearing from you soon!

    I like that one angelnurse!!! Your doing fantastic by the way!!! Brandy- I use the ab roller at the gym, it has no weight to do my crunches on, then I do two ab machines with weight...That is where I started at!

    Congrats!!! Whosyadaddy! You have done awesome in six months..Did you ever think you would get here, six months ago! Look how far you have come. You have put in the hard work, when everyone else is down your so uplifting! Look how much it has paid off! You keep going! You have made awesome accomplishments! That is an awesome place to be to not need anymore fills!!! I go to the doc in the morning. I would like 1 more cc but I really don't know if I will get it...We will see. I don't know about anyone else but, "Hats off to you whosyadaddy your kicking some booty!!

    February Exercise Challege

    Hey everybody, I finally got to the gym today and it felt so good. I was excited to get there. I did 40 minutes on the elliptical, and 10 minutes on the treadmill, I worked arms and abs...Then I hopped into the pool and swam for only 15 minutes, but it felt really good just to have some time to work out.. I have more pain in my port when I do ab crunches.. but it's only a little sore but that was when my body was not used to the exercise...It hasn't been bad though.. Okay well, I hope you all have a great work out today!!!

    February Exercise Challege

    I got up early this morning and did my elliptical for 40 minutes..I had a test and so I thought it would be a good idea to get my brain on track by exercising...still thinking about going to the gym later. Stefanie, I am so glad you found us, It has been so busy here...It was crazy...just trying to take a day at a time... Have a great day everyone!

    February Exercise Challege

    Okay just checking in... I hit the gym early today...I did the elliptical, and I had to work arms...but then I came home and I did the zumba dvd, so a good start, this week. Brandymom~ you go girl! Angelnurse- I am so glad your back to the gym! I am so excited for you! Ceraded we will be at 100lbs before we know it!!! Whosyadaddy great job! Have a great week everyone.

    Gym rat?

    Well I love being at the gym too! I could stay there half of the day...But since school has started I have been battling trying to get there as much as I would like too. I love the ammenities, and it a girls facility so that makes it nice, I still am not comfortable shaking what I got around a lot of other people yet! I love zumba too, if you go to a gym that has zumba, I would suggest it! It's a blast!

    Treadmill VS Elliptical

    I have found that I burn almost double the amount of calories on the elliptical, than on the treadmill, I also got bored on the treadmill, and my knees would ache..So I have done the elliptical and it has worked out good for me..However I am picky I like some ellipticals over others..I have one at home but I am trying to sell it. I really like the ones at the gym better. I also get a better sweat off the elliptical, it makes me feel like I am really working...I like running too but on the treadmill it is harder on me..

    Salsa dancing??? LOL

    aubrie- I love zumba it is a great class, we do the samba, meringe, and a lot of other moves which I have not even learned the name of yet, but I love it...It's like dancing your booty off without the bar scene..I absolutely love to dance..I am not very good at it but I love it...I wonder if your class is anything like mine! Well don't give up...I look for key people who know how to do it well and I follow them but I love zumba, and dance it rocks! It makes me feel so good, like I really get a work out!

    Hey all! Well I understand whosya!!! I see how you are! LOL! Anyways yeah I went to church but I have to cook for the dinner tonight were are having a band so...I made some good stuff to take...So I did my elliptical today but no gym...I was really wanting to go too, but church, dinners, cooking. I couldn't fit it all in. Okay well I am down 4 lbs, so excited...I am on my way! Have a good week everyone...

    February Exercise Challege

    That is awesome Whosya! You go boy!!! Okay well I weighed in today and it looks pretty official...I have 10 lbs to go to loose my 100lbs...So my count down begins...The next few weeks I will be eating as close as I can to perfect...I hit the gym today and did cardio, legs, abs, and of course my Zumba class! I am going to go ahead and hit the gym tomorrow as I had a tough week of errands so I can get in one more zumba class!!! Have a great weekend!!!!

    Lisa, I have had that happen but I usually reply in an unsarcastic was as I possibly can, "Well I have been there too, then I realized that I was hurting myself when I was reaching for the cheesecake, and the only person I was fooling was myself. I wasted so much time, then I just got heavier, so sometimes you have to realize if you want the weight off you have too make serious decisions, because by the time you decide to really do it you won't be able too." That is when I usually get the look and they have to suddenly say well, you look really good and then they leave..I don't want to be hurtful in any way possible but don't condemn me for going the surgery route when you know what to do and don't do it. That was the biggest crime for myself..I looked at others and was shocked about WLS for quite a while thinking the same thing. But ya know now I also have more weight to loose because of my own denial. Lisa I am so glad you got your fill and it is working for you! You will start kicking butt now! You go girl! Annie- My school closed, we had rain but we also had ice...So that is the not so great part of living North of I-70. But I have been so busy that I just am trying to keep up..How are you? Yeah, I haven't seen Firebolt in awhile. I hope she is doing okay. I have an appointment next week with the doc, so I may ask for just one more cc maybe two. I just would like to be a little more restricted. But if she won't I will understand, I know that I have been doing pretty good on weight loss but, my snacking...I have to remember to watch even what I buy for the kids because this week me and the rice krispy treats have had one big battle....I have been doing mostly salads for lunch and going light on dinners...This week I am going to bump up my Protein.. I am going to hit the gym and do zumba, and my favorite place...Walmart to get my Protein shakes...and some nuts.. I know the protein will make me fill more satisfied, and curve my snacking. Oh but I have some good news, I am 11 lbs away from getting my first 100lbs off!!!! I am really excited about that! Okay well everyone have a great weekend!

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Thanks Whosyadaddy! Yeah I hit the gym today...It was hard but I did it... I will say that the fish oil I am taking must be helping because, I was able to think a little clearer at the gym today...Life keeps me so busy...I know that it's a good thing but sheeewwww! Anyways. Trying to keep up on my data for my exercise a little more this week.. Have a good week everyone...

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Okay has anyone had a really bad day, lately...I have had just a really bad day today, and just felt the need to tell everyone...I went to the gym and exercised...Everyone was on the machine I needed...I felt like I was in everyones way....My thoughts were speeding through my head and I couldn't focus to save my life...Then after that workout today, which I did the elliptical and worked legs and abs...it just got worse...Okay well if anyone prays I may need a miracle to get out of bed tomorrow!!!! I definitely need to have a better day... Stefanie: I am behind on my totals this week...I will catch up and send them to you... Take care everyone...

    NO, unless you want to use free weights with it, but really it is just latin dancing except it's exercising..THey use the samba, miranga, salsa, steps and moves in the dance steps. IT is really a blast. It's fun but it is great exercise too...We have a great instructor their too!

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    Hey all checking in! Well I hit my elliptical this morning...Then hit the gym for my zumba class. I got there a little early so I worked my abs before class..That was a really good idea, I felt way more of an impact when I did the class today..I will remember that one..After class I did my complete strength training minus the abs...So a good work out schedule this week.. I have decided that I am putting my elliptical up for sale though..I just am having such a hard time with space lately and I don't like working out on it at home. Today when I was on it my daughter had a hayday in the bathroom with daddy's shaving cream...Ugggghhh. So I paid a lot for it so I should be able to get what I am asking I hope.. Whose- Good job on the two pounds...Yeah it is cold but not that cold..It is supposed to hit 40's Tuesday here hopefully, I could just use some sunshine... I hope your cold is getting better...I would like to be hitting Universal Studios this week that is for sure... Well I hope you have a good trip. What is it about birthdays...But I hope you have a great one! Suzzie- What an awesome job on your weight loss...I need to pay more attention to that stuff. I just realized what an awesome job you are doing ,so I thought I would tell you! As for weigh in...I am hoping for two but for right now it only looks like one pound but I am headed for my bad weeks ahead...So as long as I don't gain and I keep exercising I know that it will pay off! Okay well have a great Sunday everyone.

    Annie, I am so glad about the better service your getting...I think it is important that the doctors keep up with us...and check on us..Especially since a lot of people in Ohio are self pays..Unfortunately our state will still not acknowledge the need for the band..I hope one day they will make it madatory that insurance will pay for anyone who is obese and morbidly obese so they can have the opportunity for fair coverage verses only making it available to the big corporations... Well it's Friday and I have been hitting the exercise hard this week..I also got my zumba DVD's so I did it once I Thursday, but I laughed a lot! Have a great weekend....

    January Exercise - HAPPY NEW YEAR! :)

    It's Friday! Woohooo! I am just checking in...Thursday was busy so I did the elliptical for 35 min at home and did my zumba DVD. I am not sure how much I accomplished because I laughed a lot...but I did it.. I hit the gym this morning..I was excited about going this morning spent my 35min on the elliptical, then I spent an hour on strength training..I was going to go swimming but I was called to pick up my sick kid...Ugggghhhh, don't get me wrong I don't mind getting him. I am just so tired of all the sickness going around. So when hubby gets home today I may go back and swim and hit the sauna... Okay well everyone have a great Friday! TGIF!

    HI Lisa, Dr Clarey also did my surgery... Do you all find that the closer you get to your goal, the harder it gets to loose? Well I am working out and doing my elliptical but I don't feel like I am losing that..I will get measured Saturday I guess. I hope I have lost something..Last week only two pounds..I go back to see the doc on the 7th of Feb...And I hope I have lost some more... I know I have to have patience but with so much still to lose...I get a little frustrated.. Annie I am so excited for you!!! You give me hope!!!! I just got my zumba CD's in the mail so I can do it more than once a week..so here it goes...Not to mention I need to continue to do my elliptical..I am thinking of selling the one I have at home...I just can't get a work out done at home with my two small kids and I have the gym membership so...I don't know yet what to do... I am down in my 22 pants now...I have two pairs I can wear..I was in a 28 so a 22 is pretty good for me but I really want size 20! I think when I get there I will be so excited..Sounds silly huh? I can't remember ever wearing jeans smaller than that...Okay well everyone have a great day!
