  1. Hello everybody. I was sleeved October 29th. My hv 279 day of surgery 235 current 226. I'm feeling good. Enjoying my time off. I went and got groceries yesterday. I love home cooked meals for my kids. But it does get tiring quicker than it used to.
  2. Congrats on making the decision! And taking the first step! Stick with it. It might seem like a long process but will be well worth it in the end :-)
  3. My surgery is Oct 29th. Haven't made it to the other side yet.
  4. How far in the process are you? It hasn't been too bad up until now. I started my liquid diet and trying to work around food was almost unbearable. But it really does get easier.
  5. I have a 12 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. I've explained almost everything to them through this process. They have both been helpful and understand it's best for mommy. And my daughter has been giving me so many extra hugs and kisses lately. It makes the journey a little easier.
  6. Yes. I am on my 3rd day. So far it has been the hardest thing I have had to do for this. But I am trying to stay focused. I know it's only 3 more days of this.
  7. Thanks for the encouraging words. My liquid diet is only 6 days. My stomach is cramping and I feel like I've had the flu for 3 days. I did sit in the same room as my kids while they ate pizza. Which was a weakness for me. I am happy to say I survived without a bite.
  8. Good luck! My surgery is scheduled for Oct 29th. I can't wait.
  9. I have a second job at a coffee shop. I just started my pre op liquid diet 3 days ago. So far I honestly don't know how I have resisted. But I have been told it will get easier.
  10. Hello. I am being sleeved Oct 29th. I started at 279 I am currently at 240 this pre op liquid diet is pry the hardest thing I have had to do so far. How are you coping?
  11. So I am excited to say my surgery was approved and is scheduled for Oct 29th. I am not excited to say I am on day 3 of my liquid diet. How have other people coped with this?
  12. I had the same concern. I started at 279 and now, 4 months later, and still 2 months pre op I am down 30 pounds. I called the Dr's office a couple times. And they told me that most people that do wls can lose weight. It's keeping it off that is the hard part. A lot of people yo yo. They told me the insurance company would look at it as though I'm all in and willing to make the commitment and changes that need to happen for this process to work.
  13. I can't wait to be on the other side. The only thing I'm worried about is my husband. They say a lot of people after wls become more social. I'm hoping he can keep up or doesn't become jealous.
  14. I am at my halfway point too. I'm going to have my surgery in the middle of October. I would like a surgery buddy if your up to it :-)
  15. Great job! You look great!
  16. Congratulations! ! I'm still at the beginning of my journey but hope to be in a place like you someday.
  17. I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago. I was out shopping with my 2 year old daughter a week later. I'm hoping this surgery is about the same :-)
  18. Don't be nervous. You are making the right decision. You have probably been dealing with this for years and have had enough. I still have 3 months to go on my 6 months pre op. I just can't wait to get to the beginning of my new life.
  19. Can I please get a copy of that spreadsheet? Sammie16738@ymail.com
  20. Call the insurance company. That's all I did and they told me everything I need to do to qualify and everything that's covered.
  21. I am officially the lightest I have been in about 10 years!! I feel like I could do anything right now.
  22. I already have a shopping trip planned with my daughter next year! Can't wait
  23. I got a phone call today from my Dr office. Half way through the 6 months. They called to make sure everything I had to do was done. The lady brought up my psych evaluation. Thank god they approved. One step closer. Now I just have to wait 3 more months and hopefully it goes through insurance. Fingers crossed!!
  24. I didn't have to do the cardio visit so I'm not sure what you should expect.
