My doctor never suggested a calorie limit either. 11g of Protein is great. I have an Excel spreadsheet that has almost 100 grocery store, frozen, and fast food items that are all high in protein (and I'm adding to it all the time). Forum rules don't allow me to post it but I'd be glad to email it to you if post your email address or PM it to me. I've sent it to dozens of folks here on the forum. One of the biggest (and best) surprises I've had following my RNY has been the number of delicious, high protein options there are out there!!
I'd love an email too please. jh-richardson@hotmail.com

It's been going pretty quick for myself and my BFF who is also getting the sleeve. It's been less than a month and I have done
-initial info class
-surgical orientation
-surgeon appt.
-dietician appt.
-mental health
I had already started losing on my own so my surgeon set my goal at another 11lbs. Only 3 to go!!

I have 4 kids, 4 hearts.
The kids initials are also in the feather with the bible verse.
The butterfly is made up of a yellow ribbon because my husband is in the Army.

For those that said they didn't tell and are post op..... How do you explain such drastic weight loss?
-
As I am going through this journey very quickly there is something I've really been thinking about.... I can totally empathize with not wanting the whole world to know what's going on. I've heard of people saying ulcer surgery, gallbladder removal, etc..... but for those that have already had the surgery how do you explain the very quick and substantial weight loss? I mean do people really believe the story. I trying to figure out how I want to handle telling people or not.
I know some of you are rolling your eyes just thinking "it's none of their business" and while I agree that it not it doesn't mean that it won't come up. I am not okay with responding to people in a rude way. So I just want to know if people bought your story, or how you handled it.

Wow that was fast!! I had the education class on 7/3 and I have the surgical orientation on Friday. We will see where it goes from there.

I'm in Modesto! I'm just getting started... I have my surgical orientation in Fresno on Friday.

Am just beginning the process next week. My dr mentioned that the process has changed from the extensive process it used to be to get approved. Anyone had sleeve surgery recently with Kaiser in Northern California? Could you tell me what your approval process and time line were?

No, I haven't started yet. I start pre op on the 19th. I don't have to do all liquid. It's no more than 800 calories pretty much 100% Protein.
I'm so excited!!!
