  1. I don't know if I ever did enough. I do know every single day I tried to do the best I could. Never ever got in the 64 ounces of Water, struggled to hit the 60 gms of Protein, struggled with a lot of issues, but every day I got up and tried to do my best. Did I make it to goal, yes. Do I still struggle, yes. I struggle every day to eat enough calories and get in enough water. But I will continue to give each day my best effort. Go easy on yourself. Listen to your body and what it's telling you. Get up each day and continue to try. Most of all.......don't compare yourself to anyone.

  2. Find the Adult Protective Services Agency number for your state...google it...make a report. You can be assigned a guardian by the couts. You can also be assisted to find assisted living facilities. There are a lot of options out there that can have you living a more independent and safe life. The getting physical issue.....that's an issue. There can be no good result from that. If you are unable to advocate for yourself. ...please get help so advocacy can be provided for you. Best.

  3. @frankenstein. This past Sunday was 18 months since I had my surgery. I was terrified and completely alone on the day of my surgery. I was terrified. 18 months later I'm so happy I went through with it. I did it to try and save my life. I wish you peace as you decide to go forward with your decision. All we can do is trust and believe that we will be successful. Peace and blessings to you.

  4. @scarlep. So this may help you...... I went home 13lbs heavier the day AFTER surgery; had lost 10 of the 13lbs ... 10 days later at my first follIw up visit; I lost ZERO pounds for 30 days (that was 3 months after surgery); lost an average of 8lbs a month, reached goal 9 months after surgery AND has been maintaining BELOW goal for 7 months. Soo........hope all the numbers helped. Best to you.

  5. When I went for the barium test the next day after my surgery, the young lady assisting, I don't know her title, asked " why did you have the sleeve surgery? " i pretended to not hear her. Of course she repeated the question. My response. ..because I wanted to. No more questions from her. On another note. ..the nurse in the holding room told me she planned on allowing God to help her lose her weight. Really???? Yes, both of these people were very over weight.

  6. @Engteacher. OMG, I'm obsessed with fat free Fairlife milk. I drink 2 cups almost every night. I make it hot with organic cacao powder and stevia! Seriously, no matter how stressful my day is......one sip and I'm transported to my blissful space! The best part is.... most days I don't manage to get in enough calories unless I make an effort to graze all day; so with my hot chocolate I'm getting 26gms Protein, under 200 calories and did I mention. ....being transported to my blissful place.

  7. Every day in my small insulated lunch bag I pack some of the following items : 2 hard boiled eggs, small container of diced up grill chicken or baked salmon, small salad, small amount of low sugar fruit, small amount of almonds, small piece of cheese. So, I'm away from my home about 12hrs a day, I love the comfort having my food gives me. Most days some of the items don't get eaten, but I continue to be prepared. I boil several eggs a couple times a week and make my grill chicken or baked salmon a couple times a week. I buy bag salad. Every night before I go to bed lunch is packed and in the fridge. Before I leave in the morning I add a couple of frozen packs!

  8. I know this is not answering the question, but I really wish I could live on coffee and homemade popcorn. ...so because I realize I am slowly increasing the amount of popcorn I'm eating ( I continue to either lose or maintain my weight ) I'm planning to just remove it from my diet all together. I really don't have a plan in place to control my addiction to popcorn. I now wish I had never started back with it post surgery.

  9. @Scamp. I just had my tt consult on 10/19. Fearing the pain from the vertical scar I decided to not go for it, even if the surgeon did inform me that the results wouldn't be optimal. Can I ask, how was the pain and recovery for you? I've had three c sections, so I'm very familiar with having my stomach cut open. Your results look amazing.

  10. I SHOULD stop right before I think I should. Sometimes I don't, bad habits, and I'm sorry later. But my signs of fulness are runny nose, burping and yes, just feeling full. Sometimes in trying to get in enough food for the day, which can be a struggle on some days, I try to eat extra bites. But it's not a good idea. So, I too have become a grazer. It's the only way I'm able to eat enough calories any given day. Even then I have yet to reach my recommended maintenance daily calories.

  11. Fat or not I liked having a butt and nice curves. I was a curvy fat girl. Now my butt is almost flat. Weired, but I suppose you can't dictate to the body what you want to keep and what to let go. Now my big boobs, I'm happy they are smaller. I'm trying to figure out my maintenance calories so I can stop losing and see if things round out somewhat.
