    Stall?

Get used to the stalls, there maybe several more ahead. Sorry about the tough love. BTW, you are doing great with your current rate of losing. I've averaged 10lbs a month from the very beginning. October, I lost zero pounds.

How often do you weigh yourself?

    Stall!

I stalled for the ENTIRE month of October. Zero pounds lost. Yes, I felt hopeless. So, I did eventually continue to lose again. So there is lots of hope. Stay encouraged. I know every plan is very different, but your carbs appear to be on the higher side. Again, we all follow different plans.

TV Shows - What are you watching ?

@@proudgrammy I no longer get that channel, but I watched Little house on the Prairie and The Waltons every chance I got.....no sad confession here. Love those shows. Sometimes wished I lived in that era. So I still watch Bonanza and Gunsmoke and the Virginian. Yep, I'm a western fan! Forgot to mention I'm also obsessed with Downton Abby and Call the Midwife. ......and Doc Martin. Yeah, love me some PBS!
  6. Yeah! I also hovered around 125/80 all the way to 154/any given number, and was on water pills to control it. I'm now 110/70 most days or some days lower than 110. I have to take mine everyday to make sure I'm not too low. I have the machine at home. WOW, what excess fat can do to the body.
  7. @onikenbai. So what happened with the pink hippo? Sorry, couldn't resist. On a serious note, so happy for you that they finally figured it out.

  9. @Essence46. I have been slow, but it's moving. Take heart. I lost zero pounds in October. For the entire month, zero. But it's behind me now. I'm planning on doing hand to hand combat with these last 18 pounds.
  10. Well, I'm not as far along as you are, but I use my restriction as my guide. When I'm done I'm done. Were you given any guidelines? I ask because at my first NUT appointment she told me I will basically be eating a half up. I can't eat that much as yet. When I get the full signs, I stop, or I will pay!
  11. Are you still losing, or are you in a long stall?

    Dinner Frustration

@storytotell. Totally agree with you here. Maybe things will change for me in the future, but my capacity is so small, yes, I'm thankful, I have zero desire to take the time to sit in a restaurant. I will confess that I also prefer to eat in private. Yes, people do look at what others eat and comment on it. At this time eating for me is not a joyous event. I eat for nutrition and I'm done.
  13. How much did you lose before the regain started? Are you doing the RNY because of the GERD issue, the regain or both?
  14. Yes, I was not being mean or sarcastic. Just trying to offer suggestions and suport. What this forum is mainly about. You get what I was saying. Thanks
  15. Yes, I did take the time to read the post. All the best on your journey to better health.
  16. O, add a scoop of protein powder to the skim milk.....21 plus 8.....29grams.
  17. How are you only getting in 1 gram of protein? Have a boiled egg for breakfast...7grams. Have a glass of skin milk....8grams. Ounce of cheese..approx 7 to 8 grams. Small amount of tuna....13grams. Greek yogurts. ..some 12grams. You just have to eat the food.
  18. The advice should be coming from your OB/GYN and your surgeon. IMHO. But I'm well aware that you already know that. Congrats! !!!

    Sooooo tired!

Yeah, on here days after surgery, people were going to the mall, working in their gardens and pushing the vacuum around. Really?! Just proves that we are all going to have different recoveries. I had basically zero energy for the first 10 to days. I guess it had to do with the fact that my surgeon had me drinking 4ozs of plain broth or water, per hour, for 10 days. No protein. On the 11th day I had tiny amount of cream of wheat, some blended soup and small amount of skim milk. OMG! I instantly felt so much better. By my one month post op I was still easily tired, but felt like I was back energy wise. Just take it easy when you can.
  20. Yup, yup and yup. At 5 months out only medically involved people know. When I read post like this I continue to feel 100% sure of my decision not to tell anyone. If anyone is guessing or has questions, I don't know, because I have not had a single question about WLS. Sometimes I wonder about that. Hnnnn
  21. My very good girlfriend said she hated my huge legs. I was speechless. Still SMH!
  22. @Momma_D. You worry about everyone, it's a fault of yours? Really, so with all that worrying, because it's a big universe out there, when do you have time to "worry about about you and yours"? With only 24 hrs in a day how do you find the tine to worry about everyone? I don't see this as worry at all. You are judging. Worry about that fault. I'm done.
  23. So, stop caring about these people who, never dieted a day in their lives, didn't use WLS as a last resort, went to Mexico, and gained it all back. It steams you about personal choices people make for themselves? Examine that issue about yourself. While none of the about applies to me, I wish everyone who have chosen this path the best. How they arrived at the decision is elementary to me, and none of my business. Stop judging.

    Dinner Frustration

I'm 5 months out. I've avoided eating out since surgery. I had a formal function at 2 months and faked it through. Now I eat 100% of my meals at home. I miss going out to the occasional restaurant, but I eat like a bird. What's the point? I think about eating out and it seems like such a chore. Maybe when my capacity increases and I'm able to eat more than five fork fulls of food, I'll start eating out. Right now it's so non appealingly to me.
  25. Ok, ..."look like they are at a good weight". Really? I posted about this very issue before. I had spoken to my surgeon's secretary several times by phone as we were working on getting my file ready for insurance approval. She had my medical iinformation...age, weight, height,BMI 40 plus, etc, but had never meet me in person as my surgeon sees patients in a separate medical faciluty from her office. After all the required testing some results were slow getting to the office. Wanting to move my case along, I was pro active and stated I would go to the different doctors, pick up results and walk them into the office. I got there and the secretary came out to greet me. She shockingly exclaimed " O my god. You are not that big. You don't need surgery. Why are you doing this?" No matter what I looked like, didn't my medical file say I was morbidly obese? I smiled politely, handed over the papers and left. If this surgery was available when I was "only " 30 pounds overweight, I would of worked three jobs and taken out a second mortgage to pay for it. Maybe then I wouldn't of gotten to 80 pounds overweight.
