    @@Alex Brecher. Totally agree. I drink lactose/fat free milk, eat eggs and full fat cheese. I also eat about a cup of homemade salt free popcorn a few times a week. Before my surgery I ate MANY cups, MANY nights. But my main foods are lean proteins and broccoli. So, dieting, including the paleo, and the many others I tried, still let me to surgery. Why? volume. I was eating too much. No matter how healthy the foods. I was eating too much. Now I eat, feel my restriction, and stop. I'm so happy I chose this gift for myself.

    Fruit problems?

    Strawberries and blueberries doesn't bother me. I recently added a small amount a few times a week about 10 days ago. So good. I'm so tired of eating meat and fish.
  12. I no longer need a wide. Thank you lord! Unfortunately, I'm still a size 11. I got to that size by the time I had my third child. I used to be a 10W. But no worries, I've been able to find some great shoes and can't seen to stop buying shoes, some I may never wear!

    Last 30 pounds! Help!

    I'm still in trying to get to goal so I'm no expert, but at 8months I still basically eat protein first and then a small amount of veggies as I have space left. I don't make any complicated meals. I eat chicken, eggs and salmon. I also drink fat free milk and sometimes small amounts of raw almonds. Every few days I eat a couple of strawberries and blueberries. ....yum! Best.
  14. OMG! Please, yes, EVERYTHING in this whole world causes cancer. And 45 yrs old female who was a vegan with no family history, nursed her baby, was normal weight and exercised regularly dies from breast cancer. A 2 pack a day heavy drinker 87 yr old man dies after falling. Yeah, no lung or throat cancer! The air you are breathing right now can cause cancer! @@Tauruslady5

    Sorry for the misery you experienced. I have my colonospy at the end of this year. Yeah, I'm starting to get terrified. I'm wondering if I'll probably have a similar experience. As it is I currently don't even drink 64 ounces a day.

    Bougie Size- disappointed

    Cheetos? This may not be the best choice right now, 60 % stomach removal or not. Best on this journey.
  18. But I'm losing my weight VERY slowly. There have been no huge monthly losses from the very beginning. At 7 months I've averaged about 9 pounds a month, with zero lost in October, 7 pounds this past January, and 6 pounds so far this month. Maybe my modest lost makes a difference. Best.
  19. Haven't lost a strand at 7 months out. I've had three c sections, major hernia repair surgery and vein stripping surgery on both legs. Never lost a strand those times either. My protein intake has been modest.....about 60 grams most days. I take regular vitamins.
  20. I'm seven months out and I very rarely go over 800 cals a day. When I do it's a gym day and I'm burning 500 to 600 cals. I then add a banana or fiber one cookie for the extra carb and calories, and of course for the extrs treat, Lol. Also, I eat plenty and don't think I could get to 1200 at this point.

    @JerzyTomato74. Fiber ones are great. I save them for my work out days and eat them about a half hour before I begin my workout

    Popcorn

    I make popcorn at home, on the stove with olive oil and no added salt. Yum! I was told to refraim from it in the very beginning. I don't overindulge, but I do enjoy it ever so often. It's a slider for me, so I am mindful.
