  1. Today is my weigh in........I finally hit Onderland today 199.1, not by much I know but still there is a 1 in front of my weight instead of 2. I am so excited and happy. Good luck to all my fellow sleevers! I think I may go shopping today!
  2. I cannot find one I like either, spending a small fortune trying to find a good one! Lol. Yeah petite calcium pills, I also fell for that, no such thing!
  3. I love Genepro too. I asked my NUT and she approved. Not sure why she didn't mention it in all the preop meetings I had with her. It truly is the best. No taste and 30 grams of protein in a tablespoon instead of a huge scoop. Can't tell its in whatever it is you decide to put it in and it's so fine it mixes so well.
  4. Doing well occasional nausea in the morning when I get up. Other than that still eating tiny portions about and ounce or an ounce and a half of some sort of meat for protein and I am done. Supplementing protein drinks because I cannot get enough protein from eating. Hoping to be down another 20 or 25 pounds by vacation time December 2nd going to Vegas.
  5. I am allowed popcorn too, but I haven't had it yet. I am saving that little treat for the movies. I love it! That's why I have to save it as a treat.
  6. Your lucky my pre op was 10 days, liquids only.
  7. I also have to salt everything. Lol I never used to do that! I don't crave sweets either. And grease I can't even think about it.
  8. Me too! It's awesome!
  9. I have very few days that I regret it. Everytime I look in the mirror it reassures me that this is the best decision ever! However the first 10 days after surgery I hated what I had done. The pain and getting used to my new norm was a difficult transition. I am 7 weeks post op and I feel great. I am about 40 pounds from my goal weight. I started my protein shakes twice a day with a sensible dinner on May 31st. I had to wait 6 months before my insurance would pay so I didn't have my sleeve until August 25th. I had lost 60 pounds before my surgery but I knew I still wanted it as I know it's only a tool. I wanted to prof to the nay Sayers that I could do it by myself so I wouldn't have to hear all the crude remarks from co workers at work. Now they don't compliment me except for a couple people but I don't hear them saying anything about how I couldn't do it without surgery. Most don't say anything because they are jealous but I didn't do this for them, I did it for me. Anyhow sorry about rambling on. I just wanted to say you will have good days and bad days.
  10. No I am 7 weeks out and eat about an ounce or ounce and a half and I am done.
  11. I was sleeved August 25th. I too am a very picky eater. I don't eat any food that is mixed....therefore I didn't do the puréed stage I had to stay on full liquids until I could do soft foods. Try not to be scared, I know it's easier said than done but all will be ok. As far as eating afterwards, I have to stick to the very few things I like. Yes it does get boring eating this way but the results are great.
  12. Beatiful! I am 5'9". I was sickly looking at 145. I would be happy at 165. That's where I am Comfortable still slim looking but not sickly. I have about 38 pounds to go.
  13. I get light headed a lot when I get up out of bed at night a lot. I often have to stop and hold on to something to keep my balance.
  14. I love Genepro! My nut said it was ok. I use it along with another vanilla protein and skim milk and a little ice with some sugar free banana pudding and make a shake in the morning. With all of that it tastes great. And it has 59 grams of protein. It is great. Genepro can be added easily to anything, it's only about a tablespoon for 30 grams of protein instead of those huge scoops. It's been great! The other protein mix which is vanilla is unjury.
  15. Thank you all! On to the next mini goal! On the way to my ultimate goal! Cannot wait for that either!
  16. I agree they will question what is going on. I went on a trip with my husband for the weekend to his daughters house in Chicago and it was very hard. They didn't ask any questions but looked at each other and what I was eating rather funny. If I was closer to her I think she would have said something but she didn't.
  17. Could I ask how much protein you get from the cereal and milk? I am trying to find some different things. I was sleeved the same day as you, I still drink the protein drinks to be sure I get enough protein because I cannot eat enough food to get all my protein in. I don't mind them too much. I mix Unjury vanilla, Genepro, fat free milk and sugar free banana cream pudding mix and ice and I get 59 grams of protein before 7 am makes the rest of my day less stressful worrying about getting in my protein.
  18. Officially overweight today NOT obese. My husband tells me I am hot. Lol. I think he is trying to make me feel good. He is such a sweetheart.
  19. I weigh twice a week. I had two mini goals one was to not be obese the second was to hit Onderland. Today I woke up to weigh and I was overweight not obese! It made me feel good. Probably to embarrassed to tell anyone I personally know so I thought I would tell my gastricsleeve family. I have 1.9 pounds to go to hit Onderland which will make me extremely happy. I won't have anyone to tell that to either so I will probably bore you all with that detail too!
  20. If you can order Genepro from Amazon, instead of a huge scoop of protein it is just a tablespoon and has 30 grams, only 4 carbs it mixes with anything and I cannot taste it. I mis it in my protein shake in the morning along with my scoop of unjury and skim milk and my morning protein shake is 8 ounces of skim milk, 1 scoop of unjury a scoop of Genepro and a little powdered sugar free pudding and a few ice cubes to get it cold and it is 59 grams of protein. I almost have my protein requirement in by 7 am before I leave for work. It's awesome.
  21. My husband also seems to be a bit insecure. I tell him all the time he is the best thing that ever happened to me. We met later in life after we had both been divorced and I had been in two violent relationships. I have always told him how good he is to me and he also spoils me rotten. I would never leave him and re assure him all the time. I try to put myself in his shoes and I may feel the same way so I am very sympathic to his feelings and concerns. But I may use the "I don't want to train a new man line as a joke"
  22. I am exactly the same way. However I have to put those couple bites in my mouth about every three hours. I am very careful NOT to ever take that bite that will make me sick. Lol I have never had the slides or thrown up. I cannot imagine. So sometimes I stop even if I think I will be full on the next bite. I can tolerate anything I have tried so far so that is a blessing.
  23. Breakfast-Protein shake Snack-1-1 1/2 slices of thin deli ham Lunch- egg white of a boiled egg, sometimes scrambled egg Snack- sugar free pudding or Jello Dinner- grilled hamburger about 2 ounces, broiled fish 2 ounces, chicken, pork. Don't have room for much else, once in a while i will have a couple forks of baked potato or mashed potatoes but not very often. I usually am too full to have any after dinner Snacks.
