  1. So glad it's nothing horrible!
  2. I love that you just compared your nose to a cake. I didn't know what it meant so I looked it up. Those cakes are cute =)
  3. Oh, and I also have a HORRIBLE taste in my mouth. It won't go away!
  4. I was sleeved on the 13th! I had a one night stay in the hospital. I haven't had any complications thus far. I'm still on full liquids until October 30. I'm getting in my recommended 40grams of protein, but I swear it takes me ALL DAY. I still haven't finished my first protein shake! This is making it hard to get in all my fluid... I only got in about 50 ounces yesterday, when the recommended is 64. I'm super excited, because I've lost 13.6 pounds since last Monday. I have not been the slightest bit hungry, fortunately.
  5. How are you doing? Did you figure out what this is?
  6. Those are good too; my husband is a pumpkin fan all the way. I swear, we bought at least 5 canisters of pumpkin formula 1 last fall. I didn't drink a single pumpkin shake either lol.
  7. I would straight up as your dietician or insurance coordinator if your bariatric office has one. Mine knew all of the answers to my questions.
  8. I gained weight overall during my six month supervised weight loss plan with BCBS of Michigan. With BCBSM, they don't process your claim until after your surgery and there is not pre-qualification given by the insurance company. I had to follow their (BCBSM) rules. The dietician I see said they only MIGHT ask to see the weigh ins, the psych evaluation, and every thing else, but my claim would probably get approved without showing them any of the information my Drs office collected. She also said people will get approved with up to a 20 pound gain, and has never seen anyone not get approved with anything less then 20 pounds. All of that being said, I think every state might have a different BCBS policy.
  9. Mine totally did, too. Along with my feet. And of course, my stomach... where I carry most of my weight. Happy one week out to us!
  10. @@Bronxmerci When did you have your son? I had mine, Teddy, on Nov. 21 of last year.
  11. I loved chunky monkey!!!! It was my favorite shake, and I swear I had two a day for months lol
  12. It makes TOTAL sense. I'm afraid that I have an unattainable goal of 145, even though it's at the top end of my healthy weight range. I have never weighed that much. I think I might reevaluate my goal. Thank you =)
  13. I'm only a week out, and my nose is noticeably smaller and less round! I told my mom I've lost all 13.6 pounds in my nose =) It probably depends on the person.
  14. I too use Premier Protein. The shakes are 11 ounces (which currently takes me 2.5 hours to consume lol), 160 calories, 1 gram of fat, 30 grams of protein, and only 1 gram of sugar. They come in chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. I buy mine at Costco, but they do sell them by the four pack if at Meijer if you live in the Midwest.
  15. I was on Herbalife before my surgery. The shakes do not meet my surgeon's guidelines when made with Formula 1 and Protein powder. There are too many grams of sugar. I have been using the personalized protein powder in soups to get my protein up.
  16. My husband, 11 month old, and I were invited to a Halloween party and asked to bring a dish to pass. My husband was disgnosed with Celiac disease about a week and a half ago. My baby is currently diagnosed with an allergy to milk Protein (we are hoping he will outgrow it), and the child at the party we are going to also has a milk allergy. Does anyone have any great recipes they can share that are gluten and dairy free? I've found some online, but am unsure if they will taste good. Gluten free is a totally new concept to us, and I was just sleeved a week ago, so I'm pretty much worthless in the taste testing category. Thanks!
  17. Congratulations! Keep up the great work!
  18. That's super exciting!!!!!
  19. Why did you choose a goal of 170? I'm just curious, because we have the same stats and the same body type.
  20. Chellede, I think we were maybe the same day? I was sleeved on 10/13. I am already getting cold too!!! It's so strange, because I was ALWAYS hot before! I hope you figure out what's going on with your incisions. Are you possibly allergic to tape?
  21. Chellede, thanks for the awesome recipes!!! And thanks for being such a great cheerleader =)
  22. Congratulations! What race did you do?
