Today I got my surgery date for October 2... I'm still in a state of shock. I have an MRI on my liver next week because they saw something in my ultrasound. Praying it's nothing serious and nothing that will prevent me from having the surgery. Amen'!
Yay for a surgery date! Mine is October 13. You should add your date to the month specific forum =). Good luck with your MRI; I hope everything comes back fine!

Are you in michigan? I was at a providence hospital for my c section 16 years ago and had a horrible experience. I didn't realize it though until my second c After my first they told me nothing. Not how to take care of myself. That I had to move my bowels that I was to take meds. Nothing. I went home and 3 weeks later back to ER I went impacted and dehydrated. 4 years later went to st joe and what a world of difference. Helpful nurses who spent time educating me completely
I live in southeast Michigan! I have never been to Province though. I will make sure to steer clear of there. I'm having my sleeve done at Promedica in Toledo.

Me Pre surgery and my sensitive IV placement
Sorry you had such a difficult time. You also look nowhere near old enough to have a grown man for a son! Some people are so stupid!

That's great news! I am very nervous too. My surgery is October 14th. The good news is that you're not alone. There are tons of people on here that have been through everything we are going through and are really great about answering our questions and cheering us on. We're all in this together!!! We're gonna do great, we have bright futures ahead of us
I'm glad I'm. It the only nervous one this far out! And we have amazing futures ahead of us!

Hoping to have my surgery in late October! I am required by insurance to do a six month supervised weight loss plan. I have my fifth check in with the dietician next week and my sixth in September! I'm also meeting with my surgeon for the first time next week. I'm getting very excited but extremely nervous!

I'm sad that nothing tightened up for you! And congrats on your 115 pound loss! What an accomplishment! I have about 115-125 pounds to lose, and unfortunately I carry more of my excess weight in my stomach. My mom had a sleeve in December 2012 and just had plastic surgery earlier this week. She's in so much pain, I would be terrified to have any done!

My skin: saggy, loose, wrinkly (not sure if that's a real word! LOL)
Not what I wanted to hear lol! How much weight did you lose? Has your skin tightened up at all as time has gone on?

150 pounds is amazing!!!!

My arms sagged until I started using the wraps. Now, they hardly sag anymore. My stomach was also an issue and it isn't anymore. I have pictures if you would like to see. Also, if you can't afford them, exercising will help tighten them up, but nothing is 100%.
About how much did you lose? Pictures would be amazing if you don't mind sharing =)
With the wraps do you mean like It Works?

I'm just curious how people's skin has rebounded after surgery? I'm 26 and my surgery will be either late October or early November.

Congrats on your loss today! I've been following your posts everyday =)

Here's some average weight-loss data I googled up: http://www.tylerbariatrics.com/weight-loss.htm As everyone has said, if you're above/below average that means nothing against your overall success! Peace be with you!
Thanks for the great link!

The dietician I see said I will not have to take mine out. I'm going to ask my OB just to make sure though. I would say if you're nervous, treat it like all other birth control and quit using it a month before and put it back in a month after.

Now I know why I knew that hospital! My aunt's sister worked up there for a while. I'm so glad the second day was better! Might have just been the individual. How are you feeling now?
