    Already a failure

    I was sleeved the day before you. I agree, that you should call your Dr. I did want you to know though that I also gained nearly two pounds in one day last week, before I started soft foods. (I had a weight loss of nearly 18 pounds before then) There is no way 400 calories should make anyone gain weight! I FINALLY just start losing again, after 9 days of being in a stall. Hang in there, call your doctor, and I know the weight will start coming off again. Also, I agree with Lexie. Look in the mirror, and say something nice about yourself! Let me start: Mack is honest, and not afraid to tell someone (s)he needs help!
  6. I was only off for a week. I was off pain meds before I left the hospital, and probably could have went back to work two days after surgery. Now, almost three weeks out, I'm regretting it. I hit my three week stall and along with it came with it was exhaustion. I am EXHAUSTED. I wish I would have stayed home longer. I read though that after the stall is over, your energy comes back.
  7. I just had surgery on 10/13 and my gallbladder was NOT removed. I was given a prescription for Ursodiol at my one week appointment to help my gallbladder keep from forming gallstones. I will be on this prescription for 6 months.

    Starbucks...

    I know coffee with a little creamer is my mom's indulgence everyday after work. My mom has been very successful, losing more then 90% of her excess weight, so she must be doing something right. I think people need a little bit of indulgence to stay on track. However, if you think you might be over doing it, you might want to stop. The best person who knows how your body responds to certain foods is yourself. Only you can make that call =)

  13. Chellede, if it makes you feel any better, I can go right to "soft foods", including eggs on Thursday! I would go for it, if I were you, especially since the protein drinks are making you sick! Just an FYI though, eggs make a lot of sleeved people sick. My mom still can't eat eggs almost two years later!

  17. Ok friends, been gone for a few days, so I'm super far behind! Whomever is taking care of the Facebook, my email is :michigander22@hotmail.com Chellede, loved all those pictures! Kpar, you might ask if you can have some other stuff. Full liquids for me included cream of wheat, creamy Soups, pudding, and oatmeal! I was afraid to eat oatmeal though, and I told the Dietican that. She said I could eat instant mashed potatoes and plain yogurt =) I was very excited about the potatoes, even though they are instant. You might just ask, worst they can do is say no. I also drank about 4oz of 100% juice daily. It made me feel a lot better and less ditzy when I started doing that.

  19. You look great and healthy! Congrats on all green levels with no meds! What an awesome thing to be able to say!
  20. I'm only 10 days out, I have only felt hungry once. I was aggravated about something, and then all of the sudden I got "hungry". I wasn't actually hungry, I wanted to emotional eat! It was head hunger. I think if your mind is made up and you are honestly ready for this, you won't be hungry.
