  10. I have had two kinds of FitBits: the One, which clips to your belt, underwear, etc and the Flex which is one that you wear on your wrist. I feel both were mostly accurate. Both also track sleep. The One also counts flights of stairs, but if you're in a meeting and standing up and sitting down a lot, it counts that action as going up a flight of stairs. Not exactly accurate: one day I "went up" over 50 flights of stairs! The flex does not work as well when grocery shopping or pushing a stroller. Your arms are not moving as much, and it shorts you on steps. That being said, you can also put this tracker in your pocket to count steps, which fixes that problem. It does not count how many flights of stairs. I love the FitBit brand! My husband lost his (we think it fell off on a run) and contacted the company and asked if they could find it. They cannot, because there isn't a GPS in their trackers, but said if we sent in the receipt, they would send him a new tracker. We sent in the receipt via email and his brand new tracker in packaging (so not a refurb) arrived less then a week later. We didn't even have to pay for shipping. A lot of BP people also have FitBits. It's fun; some of us have competitions for most steps and stuff! Hopefully this helped give you some insight on wristband vs a wearable lifestyle tracker.
  11. I never thought about asking my PCP! My surgeon's office does not sell any kind of vitamins or shakes, but thinks the program is a scam. They said because my main source of nutrition comes from food, they can't legally prescribe the shakes or something like that. I'm so glad yours worked out for you, because the shakes are expensive! I buy an 18 pack at Costco for about $23, and drink a shake a day. Side note: For anyone else who buys them from Costco, they are going to be $5 off starting Dec 30!!!
  12. Oh no =(. I've been dreading that day!
  13. I've never had to crush pills. I took halves until 6 weeks out and then was able to take whole ones. That's crappy that you're still having to crush them =(
  14. My surgeon wouldn't sign the script =(. I'm glad that yours would and the program is working out for you! I do drink premier though, but I only have one a day. I can barely choke it down lol. Upon Lovely's suggestion, I bought some Isopure. I can't wait to try it!
  15. My husband was on a very high Protein, low carb diet while trying to "bulk up". He would eat upwards of 250 grams a day. While he didn't speak with a dr about this, he did talk to a nutritionalist who said this was ok. I think the amount of protein the body can handle/ingest at one is a controversial subject because there are so many different answers. Deb, how do you get so much protein?! I struggle to get in my 65-75 grams!
  16. I take biotin 5000 from Natrol. I got it at Costco.
  17. My hair feels different, but I can't put my finger on what is different about it. I've also been meticulous about taking my vitamins and biotin and getting in protein, but I'm not sure it's going to help! I think it might be luck of the draw.
  18. Just sent you a request!
  19. I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas! Has anyone started losing their hair yet? I'll be 11 weeks on Monday, and I feel like it's going to start happening any day =(

Meyers, look at your updated profile picture!!! Looking great!!!
  23. Also, I'm not sure about the gas pain. It doesn't sound right, I would definitely mention it tomorrow!
  24. I'm 9 weeks out and have this issue. It takes me around 2.5-3 hours to drink a protein shake. I feel fine unless I exercise; I begin to light headed then and it takes me a few days after to recuperate. I'm very happy with my weight loss thus far though!
  25. You're doing something right though. 55 pounds gone in 2 months is spectacular!
