  1. Thanks Kate, for the feedback. I know that most of the ideal weight calculators and BMI charts that I see are many times not based in reality and I have always used them as guidelines instead of rock solid rules. In truth, I'm going off of memory of what I used to look like when I was at the 230 mark. That was a long time ago though. Does anyone have any other responses on a strategy to use to define your goal weight?

    man questions

It just fits into my life. I just graduated from earning a Masters while working full time and with another part time job recently. I need just a little bit of down time. Not to mention that I may be transitioning into a new job within the next few weeks AND the most important reason is that is when I will have enough time off accrued in order to take two weeks to recover.

Mike, I believe that general estimates claim that for every 30-35 lbs lost, a man can expect to see an additional inch added to length. This is because of the fat pad that is just above and surrounds the penis. I believe that this number is an average and may not hold true for everyone. Everyone has their fat distributed around their body differently. I can say that in one of my previous attempts at weight loss, I dropped 50 lbs and I noticed a very big difference. I totally understand your desire to know what might happen. I can tell you that this can be a really good motivationer. I am scheduled for sleeve surgery in September and I can tell you that this is one thing that I am definitely looking foward to.

I haven't had the opportunity to meet Dr. Puri but if I need a GI doc, I will definitely keep him in mind.

This is my very first post here at BP. I live in Glen Allen (just outside of Richmond) and will be having my surgery at VCU Medical Center. I have not had the date set as of yet but it is looking like sometime in mid-September.
