Yup. You'll live and it's worth it. It sucks, but you can and will survive.

Yep, I was hungry and irritable the whole preop. Had a wicked headache for three days. Day 14 was the worst for me mentally and physically...I was SO hungry. But it's just part of the process so I sucked it up and focused on the big picture. This whole thing is way more mental than physical and your preop stage will seem very insignificant in a few months.

optimumhealthgurl got a reaction from BeagleLover in How many r now obsessed with clothes, makeup, beauty products....
Ohhhh noooo, it's going to get worse? LOL! I've always been obsessed with makeup, perfumes, etc. I always find a reason to buy new makeup!!! Post op will be another reason for new make up purchases!
Clothing ....my closet is bursting with clothes in different sizes from 16 reg -20w, so I won't have to shop for a while. I also have rediscovered my love of sewing and plan on making myself some new items to get me through before I fully resume shopping. One of the reasons I stopped sewing is no matter how hard I worked on the garment, the with best fabric, threads, and techniques, I hated the way my finished clothes looked on me.

The headache was hell. We had broth for Thanksgiving. All of us sleevers have gone through this and it is a distant memory. The fun is losing weight after the sleeve. I was at the store 2 days after surgery and in the mall 5 days after surgery You won't be incapacitated that much so just keep your meal planning simple. I took one pain pill at home 24 hours after surgery. It was 10 times easier than my husband and I expected. Good luck!!

I've gotten below my goal weight. The one thing I always wanted was to NOT be the fattest person at work. The other goal I haven't had a chance to try out is flying - I've never flown and been able to put the tray table all the way down. Looking forward to that.
