What is going ON with me?!
- What is going ON with me?!
- What is going ON with me?!
I find shrimp cocktail to be a god send for me. I get some decent sized one in the actual market not the pre packed ones and enjoy that. Get the spicy cocktail sauce and that makes it taste good and limit the amount I eat. It's a great but I keep it on hand to get me thru those pangs.- AFTER 2+ years FINALLY RESTRICTION
I was banded on July 3 and didn't have my first fill till August 20 because of my travel schedule. I went in and the doctor said I was losing fast and wanted me not to get a fill. I was like "what I paid for this thing to restrict" and he said you are losing with just the band being on without fluid. Anyone else go thru this?- Sumitted
Mine was submitted in April 4 and I had my approval by April 8or 9th. Very quick turnaround. Surgery was july 3- Just had my surgery Monday, July 14, 2014
I was banded July 3. I have felt almost zero pain since the day of the surgery. I'm just getting to soft food and you really have to remember to eat slow and not drink while eating. That's been the hardest part. Get my first fill August 6- Is this normal?
I suspect that is very normal. I lost a fair amount right after but I'm pretty sure I'm maintaining right now. I don't have or want a scale so I can't say for certain. However my clothes and belt tell me when I'm losing or gaining. For me I'm just starting the soft food stage. I don't like that I still can't find anything that my stomach likes at restaurants. Eggs and opinions have been a nightmare for me for some reason.

Thx for the detailed response, much appreciated. Yeah that is my fear as well. If this is another count calories and carbs diet why did I waste my money! I'm glad to know restriction is coming. I need something to stop me :-)- My energy is so low after beibg banded.
I had a hunch that might be the case but i was curious what other people dealt with.- My energy is so low after beibg banded.
Why is my energy so so low 9 days after surgery? I've been taking 3 hour naps in the day and sleeping like 10-11 hours at night. I wake up take my bp pills and then drink a shake and then walk for 40 minutes. Do I need to move these things till later? Help!- 8 days out and im feeling like i did before the surgery?
Also some more good news. I'm down 27 lbs since the start of preop and my bp is spot on perfect, with my meds which hasn't happened in. 15 + years. Good news so far!- 8 days out and im feeling like i did before the surgery?
I'm not complaining my only problem is I already have no restriction and I'm worried about advancing my food! I haven't so far but I can chug water like its nobodies business without any pain already.- Day 1 post op
For me you just "know" when you need to stop eating. Keep you're protein at 2 oz and blend it way up. If it's stringy it won't work.- Day 1 post op
I was just banded on July 3. It's been smooth sailing so far. Just remember to have some variety on your menu when you get to the purée stage. - What is going ON with me?!
