  1. Hello all, ok so I'm just wondering what everyone is eating for breakfast?
  2. You should also try the Unjury brand. You can get a sampler kit for $25.00 and it includes a shaker bottle as well as multiple flavors to try. No sugar high quality protein and great taste. You can only order it online but it is worth it. Good luck
  3. I love your story and you have done an amazing job!
  4. I was sleeved on June 12th and to date have lost 55 pounds since my sleeve, I feel it's dramatic, but haven't read all the other updates yet. I am happier and happier every day that I made this decision. The first 2 months was tough with feeling lightheaded, etc but am stronger every day.
  5. Hands down QUEST BARS!
  6. Sizes have indeed changed drastically when it comes to women's clothing. It seems each store, designer, outlet etc, has it's own sizing chart. Then add to that (at least in the U.S) they also have Women's sizes meaning there is a size 16 and also a size 16W, which according to an associate at one store I was in the equivalent to a size 16w is a size 14, really, so why have the W? I see so many outfits on line but truly hesitate to order anything due to the nature of the drastic differences among stores / retailer's sizing, and I hate returning things via mail, ugh. We ladies really need a set size standard.
  7. @fran2014- ok here goes, you must get in at least 64 ozs of fluid per day, which includes all liquids EXCEPT caffeinated drinks, I.e coffee tea. No carbonated drinks. As to vitamins, you need a bariatric vitamin, some are once per day like the Opurity brand, and others are three times per day like the Celebrate brand. As to carbs and calories, wow you are gonna hear / read so many differing opinions but I strongly suggest that you look up a local bariatric surgeon's office and call to see if they have a on site dietician and make an appointment as you need some face to face guidance relative to your specific dietary needs, etc. I would also suggest you get into your primary care doctor for a full blood work up to ensure you are meeting your vitamin, iron, etc bodily requirements. Be well
  8. Oh, he was sleeved, not sure why I thought he had lap band. Either way he looks amazing! I've always liked him he always seems so down to Earth, and the fact that he replied to you proves how nice he really is. Congrats
  9. Wow, you poor thing! Thankfully they were able to determine what the the issue was. Wishing you a speedy recovery and give us an update when you can.
  10. Keep in mind that many of the listings for weight lost also includes pre-sleeve weight loss, myself included. I lost 32 prior to my sleeve, so my actual weight loss after sleeve is 40. The listing is just the way it appeared after I created my weight loss ticker. Also, if you started at a higher weight / BMI your loss will be quicker initially, and if you are a male, again the weight loss will be quicker. Never compare yourself to anyone else, you are unique and special
  11. @@allesun don't despair as keep in mind it hasn't been a month and you have lost 22 pounds ! That is amazing and when was the last time you lost that kind of weight in less than 1 month? Also the 1 pound (and more) gain is normal right before your period. Being late is fine your body is changing more than you know and that includes hormonally too. You are rocking it get your water and protein in and keep doing what you are doing. Maybe add some walking if your doctor has cleared you for it.
  12. Wynnie replied to Chelenka's topic in Rants & Raves
Hey, you had every right to give it right back to him. Individuals like that are really good at giving it but have no idea how to take it. You did great, and I'm still laughing
  13. Maybe try Opurity chewables They never made me feel sick, however I got to where I just couldn't chew them anymore, my taste changed so I switched to celebrate caps but I too got sick so now I take one near the end of each meal with a sip or so of water. It's the only way I can take them and so far they haven't made me sick when I take them in thus fashion. I hope this feedback helps.
  14. Not sure this qualifies as a true stall whereby you are eating what you should vs having some dietary issues that you need to review and correct. Go back to your post op basics and remember you have worked too hard to not see it to the end.
  15. Prior to your procedure a full blood work up, along with many other in depth health testing, will be conducted and your lver function is part of that so you will know long before you are on the table. Also if you are truly drinking 12-15 beers a day you should consider counseling as going cold tukey will be very tough. Be well and get your blood work.
  16. I have found a correlation as well, although it stops after I take a Prilosec. Maybe extra acid production burns more calories.....
  17. Congratulations and great pics too!
  18. Lunch is a great idea, I've been having them for dinner.
  19. Thanks for the feedback, and I hope you get back to being able to enjoy them again. For now I just eat the original version but look forward to trying other flavors soon
  20. Yes, please keep us posted
  21. Ah, I see. I've heard of it. Better to err on the safe side to see where you are and then have your gastric surgery. Very frustrating to be delayed. Hang in there
  22. My nut mentioned BOCA burgers to me as a way to get a real burger feel, protein and easier to digest vs hamburger. I bought the traditional ones, 15 grams of protein, added 1 ounce of sliced sharp 2% cheddar which brought it over 20 grams of protein and it was wonderful.
