  1. I am really liking my Soma bras. Went in their store, got measured and have picked up 2 in their store and 2 online all on sale. They are worth a shot.
  2. Ok so i finally ventured in to a Soma's and I've gotta say i was nervous, and excited at being able to go into a normal undergarment store. I found a bra that is wonderful. The staff measured me was attentive and i was able to find a bra with perfect fit which is something I have not had in years. Worth walking into and trying some things on.
  3. @@CowgirlJane excellent story and thank you for always being honest and letting us in to your world! I always enjoy your posts!

Do track everything you eat, drink, graze and i think you stated you use My Fitness Pal, so keep going. 1 day and 1 meal at a time. Also, be kind to yourself and remember you have lost and have still maintained a great portion of that loss. Keep us posted please and be well ????
  10. I chew alot of sugarless gum to keep me occupied. I also find if i drink hot tea or coffee that seems to ease the hunger.
  11. You are all inspiring me to hold myself accountable and hope you will also hold me accountable. I want 1 day at a time success to eat high quality protein, fruit and veggie carbs only, no grazing and to do it tomorrow and if successful the day after that and so on. I don't do well on 10 day challenges, but want to try this. What the hay, nothing ventured nothing lost ( i aint gonna gain) ????. I am 1 yr post vsg, down 110 since sleeve and 145 since Jan 2014. I haven't lost or gained in 2 months and i am 30 pounds from goal.
  12. Ok so my 1 year is in 2 weeks and I am 30 pounds from my goal and somehow I am ok with that. I am so thankful to each of you for your honesty as it tells me that I am still successful. I am also thrilled that I see many of you from other forums and your name's are familiar to me. I have not lost anything in the last 2 months and again I am ok with that. I am going to try the 5:2 method and keep sticking to my guns. I have found that reading these posts help me and actually I haven't read any in two months and haven't lost any weight so I believe that reading this forum daily helps me more than I knew. HONESTY is going to be my key to success and i hope to stay honest with myself to lose 30 more and maintain. It actually feels great not losing as I haven't gained either so maybe this is a final stand via a long plateau. I am so happy to be a part of this community.

    Hunger

I am 1 year with my sleeve and hunger returned about 5 months ago but it isn't as urgent as it was prior to my sleeve. Much more manageable and easier to ease and fend off with a simple healthy snack such as some almonds or a mini babybel cheese round, water, etc.
  14. The vet's forum is the place to be as if we think about it when we first began our journeys we were also of a far different mindset, we had to be to get through the beginning, but now we have matured a bit in our journey, and need to progress to the next phase of maintaining or striving to hit goal. Happy you are here and welcome.
  15. @vsgann and @@feedyoureye you are both right, as i asked on another thread topic what was the tracking app that people most used and, you guessed it, My Fitness Pal was the resounding reply! I downloaded it yesterday and love it! It also synchs with my Apple Watch, so i am beyond happy. As an aside i have lost 3 pounds in as many days since re-dedicating myself to going back to basics, and will keep doing so until i hit goal, and will no longer check in daily to this thread. Thanks to everyone here, what an amazing community of people here at Bariatric Pal. Xo Wynnie
  16. You were all right! I uploaded the My Fitness Pal app and it is PERFECT! A nice side benefit is it synchs up with my Apple Watch as well. Great feedback from an amazing group of people!! ????
  17. I have never been a log or list keeper but i am finding it a great way to success. I really had no idea what my daily carb, calorie and protein intake truly was! Is there an app anyone uses that is easy to use, id love to hear about it.

    going back to what "works"

This thread inspired me to also go back to basics as i want to knock off the last 25-30 to bring me to goal. In the last 2 days I've lost 2 pounds and have broken through my almost 3 month stall. I write everything down and realize that i was eating as if at goal already vs eating to continue to lose. Im back to low or no fat greek yogurt with 1 packet of stevia in the raw twice a day, 2 hard boiled eggs made as deviled eggs with dijon mustard, 1 med apple per day eaten 1/2 at a time as a snack 2x per day with 1/2 the apple and 2 mini baby bel cheese for each indiv serving Until i wrote down what i was eating vs what i needed to eat to get me to goal i had no idea and kept thinking oh its just a stall. I caused the stall. Once i reach goal i will then resume how i had been eating during my stall as i gained no weight during this time. Oh and water water water ????
  19. You really are amazing! You dedicated yourself to the process to lose and then your results are fantastic, and thats not just the surgeon but you doing everything they told you to do during your recovery. Very inspirational my dear!!
  20. Miller 1109 i have been keeping your comments in mind and it really does help. Many thanks!
  21. Day 2 was successful via keeping a food log and feeling good. A by-product is another pound down. Today is new day #3 feeling confident i will stay to plan with high protein low carb food intake.
  22. Ok day 1 success. No grazing and fewer carbs and calories, and 1 pound gone. Today is day 2 but I'm approaching it as a new day 1.
