I had the same thoughts but then I thought......well, this is for my life and to prolong it and spend more time with the family that I so adore. YES it is worth it! You are just anxious, we all are. And until we wake up from that table and prove to ourselves ,it wont go away. We are all here for you and we all understand!

Ok so Ive already done the liquid diet and then I was taken off of it because my surgery date got bumped up a couple of weeks. Nov 2 to be exact. My DH and I went to eat my "last meal" and I totally understand what you are going through! Then I did the liquid diet for 9 days and lost an amazing amount of weight on it. Now I have to restart the liquid diet next week but now I know I can do it!

I did the carnation instant breakfast it is really good and filling! Just a thought! The Vanilla and the strawberry are the best!

Ok so my original surgery date was on October 19th and I was instructed to be on a full liquid diet for 2 weeks. Well I was halfway done with my diet and I got the news..... the had to reschedule me for Nov 2. I lost literally 18 pounds!!! So now I have incorporated healthy food and next week I wills tart the process all over. Oh and for those of you that are insecure about the pre-op liquid diet (if you have one) It really does get easier after the 3-4 day. I PROMISE!

I will be going to dr Alvarez on November 2nd. When is your surgery scheduled?

He is out of lap bands...... I was in tears.... it was sad. But I can wait another 3 weeks for it.! Thanks for the heads up on theyre care! How was everything?

My surgery got moved to Nov 2nd, You can take me off the 19th of October now...... Im sos ad. I was ready to get it done with!

ok so I received notice today that Dr Alvarez has no more lap bands for this month so I got rescheduled to Nov2. NAN~~~ Did you get yours done?

I am so glad to hear you are doing well!!! MY surgery is in 11 days and that gas scares me!!!!!

I am on day 2 of my 2 week liquid diet and last night was horrible I thought my sugar was dropping I felt so bad. I woke up this morning and felt great and i am not even hungry.It all depends on the person. Some people it takes a day some it takes a few more. Just remember why we are here!

I am having surgery with Dr Alvarez on October 19th. I have not found one negative thing about him and trust me IVE SEARCHED! I will let you know how it goes when I come back. As for now I just started my 2 week liquid diet today and I feel like crap.......... I am so hungry..... But it is for the better!!!!!

My surgery is scheduled for October 19th! This is my transition date because this is the exact date two years ago that I lost my baby to stillbirth due to diabetes and every other thing that could go wrong with your weight and pregnancy. I am a nervous wreck and I start my liquid diet on Thursday. Please help I have horrible anxiety and I have trouble sleeping right now. I just want to get it over with! Any suggestions?

Thank you so much! I cant wait to get the surgery part over with! As for the financial part I was fortunate enough to not have to deal with insurance and all of that stuff! We are just paying for it to get it done with!Good luck on your journey and do let me know how it goes and be honest with how you feel!!!!

I start my 14 day liquid diet tommorow, but I have already supplemented breakfast with a protein shake. It is going to be a lot harder then we all expected but it will be worth it! Why are we doing the surgery anyways? To lose weight and be healthy. I look at the pre-op diet as a test for us to prove that we can survive without all of the junk food. I will be posting as the journey goes on....... It is nice to meet everyone!

I am located in Austin Texas and my surgeon is Dr Alvarez in Piedras Negras Mexico. I was fortunate enough to have my parents help on the financial part so all I have to do is survive the liquid diet now! Where are you located?

I have been reading your posts and you seem like you have been there to understand how I feel. I am 24 years old and my BMI is 53 I am getting my surgery on October 19th and am extremely nervous. I am getting my lap band on October 19th and have started my liquid diet today. It is a lot harder then I thought but I can do it!ANy suggestions on things that will fill me up? I have been having horrible anxiety about the surgery and am scared to death! This is something I have wanted for along time and now that it is official I am scared. HELP!!!!!:help:
