Thanks Angel, I've got to use this time to get my head in the game. Im struggling to focus. Gonna get in an exercise class to see if it helps me focus.

I need encouragement!!!! Nurse just said my surgery won't be until probably November. Surgeon is already booked thru October. Im sad. Now I need to start eating right and start exercising! I can at least try to start losing weight while I wait! Right????

As Im getting closer, guys give me your best words of wisdom. What was the hardest part AFTER surgery?

I recently moved to Florida so Im going to the ymca to find a class so I can get back to it. Praying for an october rny date. Thx

Cupcake, I do water aerobics too. Im pre op and anxiously waiting to get a surgery date. Its good to know that water aerobics helps. I will be calling on you for tips

Endoscopy done! That was some good sleep! Passed psych eval.. check! I think that's it. Ready for insurance approval and surgery date. Lets go!!!

Im one step closer to my rny. Psych eval today. Endoscopy tomorrow. Last nut appt sept 13 and Im done. Yeah!!! I can feel surgery on the horizon for October!!! Not nervous or anything. My plan is to exactly follow doctor's orders and pray for no complications!

I think I will be in October too. Completed all my requirements this month then submitting to insurance. Im very excited and not nervous at all.

I pray this doesn't offend anyone because its not my intention. We went to dinner after church and I watched an oversized woman (much bigger than me) wolf down her food. As I watched I remembered everything that Im learning in nutrition class....slow down and eat slower....enjoy the taste of your food, etc. She was literally swallowing her food without chewing and I thought to myself...is that me? Do people watch me eat like that? Do I eat fast? Do I swallow my food without chewing? All of it became so real to me for the first time I think. I couldn't even eat my own food. She looked totally out of control. I felt like I could be watching myself. From that moment on I've vowed to be totally in control of what I put in my mouth. As Im preparing for RNY, Im going to start adopting better habits and teaching myself all the important things that I know I still have to master for the successful use of my tool. I pray everyday that I can make the necessary changes in habit for a successful change to a healthy lifestyle. My reality has been checked!!!!
