  1. I was banded June 26th. Still sore at the incision sites, but it's getting better each day. Was ok'd by my NUT to start mushies/pureed yesterday. I was able to eat some cottage cheese, some avocado i mushed up and a little cream of wheat yesterday with no problem. Today, I am nauseous and it's the first time I've felt this way. I'm wondering if it had anything to do with the food I ate yesterday. I had a little sf oatmeal this morning with a some banana cut up in it that i mashed up and chewed good. But now, I don't feel any interest in food at all, actually the thought of it is making my nausea worse. Just trying to figure this whole thing out and be on the losing end. :)

  2. Nope, not one pound....I feel like Im going to get into trouble..LOL...but then I read some people's surgeons don't make them do pre-op diets at all or just a few days ahead or one week....so, i am at my 1 week mark before surgery. I am going to really buckle down. So frustrated with myself about it.

The pre-op is rough. Just hang in there. Have you lost any weight so far?

  3. Yay!! That's great...Glad to hear things seem to be going well! Yes, I am excited and nervous all wrapped up in one!! LOL...I'm having a hard time sticking to my pre-op diet...I'm doing the best I can but I've definitely cheated here or there. :(

So far I'm doing good! Gas pains come and go...they were pretty bad at first, but I feel better and better each day. At first I had no appetite...but now Im pretty hungry and looking forward to chewing actual food. I'm on liquids until the end of this week. I must have been swollen yesterday because I couldn't swallow any Protein shakes...just clear liquids. I've noticed others seem to swell a little a few days out, so not too worried :-). So, are you excited? I was sooo nervous the day of.

  4. to me a success story is a person TRYING and then following what their dr advised them to do in whatever WLS one chose to receive and doing the best they can.....some want to lose weight to fit into a tiny polka dot bikni and some (like me) wanted/needed to have this surgery just to be able to walk better (and truth be told, to be able to wipe my butt)....

Oh Ehm Geeee.....I laughed so hard when I saw the wipe my butt comment...because, I feel like that is a NSV I strive for!! LOL....I didn't think anyone else understood this problem!!! LOL....I mean I can wipe my butt, but it is HARD because my back hurts so bad and my big belly gets in the way!!!! I looked at your stats...very inspirational...I'm adding you as a friend! :)
