  1. Can anyone please let me know if they have any experience with Dr. Krish (short form) in Dade City/Zepheryhills? I know he is associated with Dr. Grossbard, and from other posts on here, not so good things about that doc. I have been approved for surgery, and just need to come up with remaining $ (2300) for the surgeon/hospital fees. I urge you to give me all comments to help me decide. Thanks so much. PS: if I decide to go to another doc, do I have to reapply with my insurance for approval? IF so, how long does that take? :help:

    New here

Well, ditto for me too. I have been overweight whole life. This is the heaviest I have ever been. I have done every diet known to man-kind (woman-kind, lol), lost it, found it,lol. But in all seriousness I have plenty of reasons for this surgery (date is nov 26th). Reasons: 1. fly comfortably, able to wear the seabelt without having a welt around my belly, because I am too embarassed to accept the extender. 2. cross legs like my skinny friends 3. shop in stores other than lane bryant, avenue, and "big-girl" sections at the department stores. 4. wear all the clothes in my closet, and not just the few shirts I feel comfortable in, over and over and over:faint: 5. have my husband wrap his arms comfortably around my body, and not be thinking "is he touching my back-fat?" 6. be free when being intimate 7. quit adjusting bra, pulling at shirt away from body 8. no worries when going into a restaurant and fitting in the booths, chairs. 9. being able to wear my seatbelt in my truck,,,,,I can't wear comfortable right now 10. being able to exercise and actually enjoy it. Well I guess that is enough for now,,,,,I know I have more reasons, just tired at the moment. Hope this helps.

    November Surgery Dates

Hey all, I am having my surgery Nov 26th. I am excited, nervous, and a dash of anxiety. lol:) I look forward to a new beginning, and attitude. I cannot wait till I feel I am finally in the right body.... Keeps fingers crossed employers ok the date, getting a little push-back from immediate supervisor....Debbie
  5. Thanks for all your thoughts so far. I did go to the seminar at Tampa General; no doctor there, just assistants. The seminar was very negative, pushy, and unfriendly. I was disapointed that the doc was not there for all those people taking time off of work to go to the seminar. I went to one in Orlando, University Hospital of Tampa, and then to Zephyrhills with Dr Krish. I chose Dr Krish and office/hospital for a few reasons: close by for fills, and in-network with Aetna. I was contemplating going to Tampa General, but not sure how that would work, as I have been approved for surgery with Dr Krish? Plus I do have to pay approx $1025 (surgeon), and $2350 for the hospital; out of pocket. My insurance only pays so much. Well enough rambling....I hope my schedule will let me see ya'll at one of the sat meetings, as I work every other sat. So far, the meeting has been every sat I work. Take care, Debbie :ranger:
  6. I am so happy for you Libby. Please let me know how your doing over the next few days. I am stll planning on having my surgery with dr Krish, and Pasco Hospital. I just had a nuc stress test today, as an ekg i had came back abnormal. So once I am clear of that, I hope to have my surgery next month. If you want you can IM me, your email, or we can exchange notes on facebook.com, or myspace. Take care, Debbie

    abnormal ekg

Ok here we go: I have been approved for my lapband by the insurance and dr Krish (Zephyrhills, FL). The problem is this. I just had my wonderful yearly with my PCP and they did an ekg as well as the "stirrups" lol. Anyways, it came up abnormal. My PCP wants me to have a 5 hour test this monday, nuclear stress test. I am now wondering if I will still be able to have my lapband or not..... Has anyone else been through this? Do you know if the surgeon will deny doing the surgery now? I hate to have come this far, and now have to wait, or worse, not get it at all.... What do you guys think? Debbie:help::faint:
