  1. I had my 2nd fill on Nov. 26. I can tell a pretty significant difference. I eat about half of what I was eating before....on my first fill I could not tell any difference. liquids go down easily all the time....but I now am starting to have more of a problem with breads and some meats. I actually have to chew now...before I could eat normally, now I have to chew meats and some of the more troublesome food to mush. I have already scheduled my 3rd fill for Dec. 17th....maybe that will be my "magic" one.

  2. I had my first fill today too. Mandi, I know we use the same doctor and fill center. I'm hungry too....and have actually gained weight, so don't fill bad. I was wondering about your fill....they told me I received 5cc in surgery and the APN gave me a 1cc fill today....so my total is 6cc. How did your fill go other than being hungry?? And what's your fill total....wonder if they give everyone the same??

  3. I think you do have everything all figured out and in time will act on it. I hope for you it's sooner rather than later. Time is precious and you cannot get it back. Life is way too short to live in the situation you're living in. I understand that "thinking" strong and "being" strong are two different things, and that starting over is scary....but you really have no choice. Not only are you dealing with him but alcohol and drugs too. That's not fair....and the chances of his recovery are slim to none. I think you need to do the same thing with your husband that you are doing with the weight---lose them both and regain YOUR life!!!

Good luck. I hope everything works out for you.

  4. Yes, I too was nauseated for the first seven days after surgery.....after that no problems. Mine wasn't the pain meds either, because I thought it might have been them, so I didn't take any after day 3 but still felt nauseated. It will get better, though it may seem like forever...LOL

  5. Yes, I walk quite a bit. I went back to work. I'm a nurse....so those long hallways have helped with that. I'm going to call them tomorrow if I'm not feeling any better. Weird though it's only during the day. I feel fine now. I haven't had any vomiting or anything.....just severe nausea. But it has made me wonder if I should've had the band. I CAN'T stand being nauseated.....I know we are only a few days out. I HOPE it gets better because if not I have a LONG LONG time to go with it...LOL

  6. I was also banded by Dr. Benavides one day earlier than Mandi, but I've having the opposite problem. I can't seem to eat/drink any more than about 3 oz. without getting nauseated and having those sharp pains.....I'm guessing it's gas. I feel like I just need to let out a BIG burp. I'm also kind of worried because I still feel pretty bad still. I'm nauseated from the time I get up (6:00 a.m.) until about 3:00 p.m. My incisions look good, and I have no fever.....but feel quite terrible. Any suggestions would be GREAT....Is this normal? Now that I've said all this I'll probably go straight from one end of the spectrum to the other.....or bandster hell as everyone says..LOL.
