  1. I know how you feel. I'm 3.5 months out; i'd lost 60 lbs before the surgery and have lost 53 since. I know I've hit a plateau and have been hovering between 238-240 the past 3 weeks or so. But those carbs... I can eat three or four CLIF bars or LUNA bars without feeling the least bit full, but three bites of chicken or eggs and I'm done. I'm trying the approach now that "if I can eat too much of it and not get full, then its not good for me". Hoping this works...

  2. My weight loss is recent and I've been at my job for 25 years, but I can tell you that (having lost lbs. in the past & gaining it all back) my attitude always improved when I felt better, looked better and had more confidence in myself. I would think that if a hiring boss had two candidates off the street with qualifications/attitude being equal, they'd tend to lean toward hiring the more fit person... It may be unfair but its not wrong to assume that in many cases the more fit person has more self control & awareness. Also cannot discount the fact that we live in a very superficial society that places looks & appearance way too high on the priority list. In any event, I would say that ANYONE would have a better shot at promotion/employment if they're attitude & confidence is high - in tandem with being more physically appealing.

  3. Hey guys -

If the draft is going to be postponed, can someone post it here to give us some notice?

I know we only have 9 teams right now, but this is the second time that I've set time aside to join the draft only to find out we weren't drafting. A little heads-up is all I'm asking for.

  4. Qs important as it is to have people in our lives who would do anything to make the journey easier, it's ultimately our journey to take. There's always going to be temptation; speaking only for myself, I'M the reason I got to be 354 lbs. so I'VE got to be the reason I get down to 200 lbs. Best of luck to you!!!

  5. Its tough, but you cant necessarily expect others (even those closest to you) to change their habits or rethink their way of doing things. Maybe its hard for him not to have the big bash this year and he's compensating by making the food anyway. Is he still planning on having everyone over? And in general, has been supportive and helped you out during the process?
